“Great for People Watching”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

This café really is the centre of life in Scicli, right outside the Town Hall or Inspector Monalbano's Office if you prefer! A perfect place to sit with a glass of wine or refreshing granité and watch the world go by.

“Delightful.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

We arrived here at 2ish on a hot afternoon after sightseeing in Siracusa. What joy to find the Montalbano office! Yes another fan here. Just as big a joy was finding that we could park just at the end of the road for nothing, parking in these towns is free between 1ish and 3 or 4. Perfect. The little baroque square was calm and mostly empty so we just sat down and were quickly served cold water, very grateful for that as it was so hot. We both had pasta, mine was really good a sort of pasta norma, very yummy , we had the rough old house red which suited it all as we sat looking at the gorgeous architecture. The staff were lovely. It was so enjoyable that we returned about the same time the next day and this shows how lovely the staff are. I ordered a pasta dish but didn't like it, ( I'm not fussy) , it was entirely my taste and nothing to do with their cooking , so I swapped it for a pizza , imaginative toppings, yummy. They were so sweet about it and only charged half for the abandoned pasta, we said we would pay full price but they said no. A great experience on both days, you also get to watch daily life and noticed the same people at this cafe both days, everyone was so friendly just excellent.

“The Café for Commissario Montalbano fans.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

We were in Scicli as part of the Esplora Holidays, 'Montalbano' Tour and visited the Municipo in the Palazzo di Città which is used in the RAI 'Montalbano' Televison series as Salvo's Police Station. Also the Farmacia, the Palazzo Fava and the church of Sacro Cuore di Gesù

Our Tour Manager, Damian Croft, suggested the Millennium Café, directly opposite the Municipo for coffee after visiting the Montalbano locations in the area.

The Café staff were friendly and helpful and the service was prompt and efficient. Prices were very reasonable for a centre town location like this.

Excellent coffee, gelato, brioche and cannoli on a very warm Sicilian morning.

“Second best meal in Sicily”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful restaurant. We sat outside, lovely location. Service was fabulous. Servers and owner talked with us at length some English as well.
Food was terrific, highly recommend it. Everything fresh and cooked to perfection. We had two deserts because they were so good. We had lunch there and would definitely return even tho we are staying in Pozzallo. Well worth the drive...

“Great for an Italian breakfast.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We visited here with our host, and had a traditional Italian breakfast of coffee and cakes. The cannoli were delicious and we tried a ricotta cake too. This is a great place to people watch. Next time we may well try the evening menu.
