We stayed one night in Hotel Helios.
When you enter the hotel the lobbly looks quite impressive which builds expectations for the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately areas such as the swimming pool are in dire need of renovation.
The reception staff was unfriendly and uncooperative: the check in was very brief and we received no explanation whatsoever about the hotel facilities (not even about breakfast - when we came down the next morning at around 09:30 (not a crazy time to have breakfast when you are on holiday I think!) we asked to have breakfast and were informed that "no, it is closed"). We had to ask until what time the pool was open and were shipped off with "eight o'clock" reponse and that was it.
The worst part was when we inquired about having dinner. We went to the reception at 20:00 to ask where they would recommend to have dinner. The receptionist looked at us with a shocked face and exclaimed "You did not make a reservation?! Then you cannot have dinner anywhere - all restaurants need to be reserved beforehand". Thanks for not telling us at check in... After much huffing she managed to inform us that maybe we could get a take away pizza - Don't go for this option!!
The room had a nice sea view and was spacious. However it was dirty and the facilities in the room as very limited (no phone, no mirror in the sleeping area).
The island in itself is nice and if you like walking and nature then this is definitely a place to visit.
I do not recommend the hotel.
