“Great but not perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012 via mobile

We stayed in unit 7115 and 7116.
The units were nice but the showers were well below the expected standard. The water kept going hot then cold and the pressure was not great. Everything else was really good. The beds were large and comfortable. The rooms cosy. The Internet access was great - wifi in the room. We only used the restaurant for breakfast but it was all very good food, and the beachside dining was a great location. Be aware that smoking n restaurants and bars is legal in Thailand, so choose your table carefully.
We ate out each night, Mitra was the place to go for some authentic and tasty Thai food.

We stayed at Nora Beach for 8 nights at the beginning of October and loved every minute of it! Upon check in we were upgraded from a superior room to a villa which was fabulous, the villa was huge, big bathroom, balcony etc. We ate lunch and had cocktails at the swim up pool bar most days, the staff there are great and very accomodating. Breakfast was ok, I have been to many buffets around the world and I think theres room for improvement. The facilities were excellent, I spent a couple of hours at the spa, they have a happy hour 10am-2pm every day at 30% off. Good location, just out of busy chaweng but close enough to walk into town about 10-15 minutes. Would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully we will return!!

We stayed in a Beachfront Pool Villa - nr 7010 and I have to say it was amazing - right on the beach with the sea being 5-6 metres from the pool and deck. Also right next to the breakfast restaurant.

The Villas are awesome - I doubt anyone staying in a Villa will want to even use the common facilities because everything you need including a big pool is at your villa. VERY spacious.

Also the location of the hotel on the northern side of chaweng is perfect - trust me you don't want to be stuck in a hotel in the middle of Chaweng with all the noise and all night partying/shopping/restaurants and people - it's good to have a haven like the Nora Beach to return.... you will see!

Can't wait to visit again!

STAFF WERE AWESOME! When we checked out I forgot my Rayban sunglasses on a table near the front desk, and only discovered this when we were checking in at the airport. The front desk manager appeared 10 mins later with the sunglasses at the airport without even being requested to do so and at no charge. THE HOTEL, STAFF AND THAI PEOPLE IN GENERAL ARE AMAZING . Truly the land of smiles.

I stayed at Nora Beach Resort for 5 nights with my family. The location and resort itself is so beautiful, and so is the service. Everyone was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. It wasn't quite the right place for a family of five, but I would definitely recommend it for a couples retreat. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Best resort to stay in! Staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome!
We were welcomed with cocktails and cool face washers upon arrival while they copied our passports and prepared our room keys. we were then walked to our rooms and given a tour of our room and how to work everything. Our rooms were immaculate with fresh flowers placed all around the room and a platter of fresh fruit! we were also provided with an electric mosquito repeller which i thought was great!

The swim up pool bar was great however the pricing is quite confusing as you then have to add taxes and a service fee ontop of everything.

Breakfast was amazing with so much variety and freshness!

Everything was beautifully manicured and pristine!

The resort also offers a free shuttle in and out of town at selected times.

Room Tip: The hotel is on a hill we were near reception so walking back to our room from the pool at the botto...

I travelled with a friend for a ten day stay at Nora Beach. We found the facilities to be excellent. The pool was clean and the water was crystal clear. The restaurant served a variety of foods, Thai and international, and all was delicious. The breakfast buffet was huge. The room was clean and services daily. The winding path from reception to the pool area was a bit steep, but we are convinced that it did us good, as the steps to our room helped us with our fitness. The staff were wonderful, remembering our names by the second or third day. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Shopping was a five minute ride away in Chaweng, with taxi trucks passing the front of the resort every few minutes. There was an excellent laundry across the road, so there was no need to use the hotel one which was a bit pricey. Around $1 aud for 1/2 kilo of laundry, washed and ironed. Overall,we believe we made a good choice.

My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay for 10 nights at Nora Beach, and we'd certainly go back for a holiday there again.

The resort is conveniently located on the outskirts of Chaweng, so avoids all the crowds, but quick and easy to get there by taxi or walking when you want to enjoy the nightlife/ shopping/ a change of scene.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the beach at the resort was, and swam in the sea every day, even while there was an excellent swimming pool at the resort too.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

A highlight was the breakfasts at the resort, which were included in our package - a large and excellent selection of European and Thai style foods, with menu variations every day.

Some evenings we enjoyed the roughly 20 min walk around the coast to some of the other beach front bars right at Chaweng for a cocktail of two, or a Thai massage. When we were feeling lazier we enjoyed drinks and dinner at the restaurant at Nora Beach Resort, looking out over the beach to the local fishermen setting out in their boats for the night.

The room was very pleasant but not spectacular, although importantly the bed was very comfortable. At first we were disappointed that we didn't have a sea view (from one of the rooms further away from the coast), but this didn't prove a problem as we ended up not spending much time there - just sleeping.

My wife used the spa once - it scores an "average" because although it was very good, the massages were very much more expensive than the (therapeutic) massages on offer at Chaweng. (To be fair, probably on par with prices at home though).

Lastly, coming from New Zealand with the relatively weak NZ dollar, we found food and drinks at the resort to be good value, with even cheaper options available in Chaweng.

Room Tip: Many rooms don't have a sea view - if this is a concern to you, ask if your room will have a vie...
