“Beautiful Resort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2009

Just returned from the Chaweng Regent with my wife and can only describe the resort as beautiful. The buildings, gardens, amenities and food was incredible. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional at all times. We could not fault the resort at all! It sits on the best strip of beach on Chaweng - is definately the cleanest and quietest part of the beach and is central to all the restaurants and shops.
The beach here has clean, clear water, so was great for swimming. 200 metres in either direction and you were confronted with jet-skis or music blasting from the beach-side bars, so if you like the peace and quiet, this is the place.
The rooms were serviced daily and were in great condition. The pools were clean and not over chlorinated as we have found in some resorts. But full marks to the staff who were ever helpful and never without a smile. We will return!

Just spent 10 nights and had a fantastic time. Yes, there is building work being done but it really didn't affect my stay in that it was behind the restaurant. However, it could have affected those in the villas more. We were given an upper room in the Regency section. Okay, the bathroom tiles need updating but not to the extent that it caused my any concern (and I am a nitpicker). The room itself was very large with twin beds and daybed. Nice touches of provision of wicker beach bag and umbrellas in the room plus sandals and dressing gown. Breakfast selection was excellent with lots of variety, both English and asian foods being offered (along with cold meats, cheeses and a multitude of bakery items). I was with my mother celebrating my 40th birthday and the hotel surprised me with a birthday cake delivered to the room which was a real nice touch - even if the porter wouldnt leave until I had come out of the shower to receive it (my mother answered door)!! Found staff to be very friendly - even the guy that joked to me about barbecued cat!!. One tip: don't use the in house massage place (very expensive) but go to beachfront massage place on the beach to the right of the restaurant. Had been concerned about some of the three star moderate reviews placed here but I definitely would not agree and would say that it deserves the star that is given.

went with a bunch of friends and took 6 rooms for 3 nights.
Firstly, renovations going on and they said we would be upgraded and put up far away from renovation.we were given a room adjoining the renovation.the promised rooms were also given a day later.until then we were in old rooms direly in need of renovation.Anyhow, they did shift us and the pool view rooms were very comfortable and more modern ( hot water worked )
The location for this property is faultless and was very convenient for us.
Our major grouse was the attitude of a certain staff member who was rude beyond imagination.thai people can never be expected to behave this way.
I have brought this matter to the notice of their higher ups and i hope they rectify their errors .

My husband and I chose this resort as our honeymoon and it was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect, right in the heart of everything, close to the markets, restaurants, bars. Did not find it noisy at all. The rooms were lovely and clean, the resort was spotless! Friendly staff and always willing to help. When we return we will def be staying at this hotel, no hestiation. The staff also provided us with a lovely little honeymoon cake and a bottle of wine! I couldn't rave enough about this hotel. Not to mention the breakfast, what a feast! Thank you to all the wonderful staff there!

The hotel is right on the busy Chaweng beach road but has a nice and large landscape and 2 swimming pools. Totally quiet inside the hotel, and the staff are nice. The room is well decorated with a lot of woods. We stayed in a suite room and the restroom is just stunning. Great place for romance and relaxation. Will come back again.

Upon arriving at Chaweng Beach Resort, we were welcomed with a nice refreshing drink and cool towel. The first impression was a very nice, clean resort. Located just across the road from Samui Seafood (great restuarant), and shops and market stalls. Also a short walk to other restuarants and bars and shops. The resort was quiet - you could not hear the road at all. The gardens were maintained impeccably with hidden rooms (Superior bungalow). Our room was a deluxe regency room. Very basic and not 4 star - although clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very small, shower over bath, just a little tired. King size bed was comfortable and we had the best sleep every night! But we didnt stay in our room much during the day - too much to do outside! The room was serviced everyday, and every night staff would come into our room and spray mozzie spray - which was thoughtful!
The breakfast was awesome - so much to choose from. The pools (2 of) were great. The ocean in front of the resort was not suitable to swim in for us - great for kids as it was shallow and had a reef out a bit from the beach. But that didn't deter us - just a short walk up the beach past the jet skis, and there is ocean to swim in if you wanted to!
