“Pleasantly surprised.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

I have to be honest, upon first look I was not expecting much.
We dined at about 6pm on a monday evening. There were four of us in the restaurant for time we were there. Our waitress did seem a little disinterested, and confused our order for a Schnapps for some sort of fortified wine... Nonetheless, the food was fabulous. Chicken penang curry for myself and bbq pork ribs for the boy (off the "chef's special" menu). Beautifully presented and delicious to taste, my chicken wasn't overcooked at all and my bf's ribs were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender. Great flavour. As the night continued, more staff started and were much friendlier. The atmosphere lifted when they started the dorky French music in the background!
As I say, pleasantly surprised.
Please note, due to the restaurant's proximity to the nearby river, definitely bring some mosquito repellent.

“Below expectations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Nice place with good atmosphere but average food really below expectations.nice waitress but slow-slow motion from kitchen.little portion which keep on remaining so even when you ask for BIG PORTION.the little restaurants on the road just next to this can serve more and tasty food than this stilish place.obviously if you are client you can avoid waiting in the line and can have table and food before other people patiently waiting their turn.

“Great food, fantastic waitress!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

We found this restaurant by chance and decided to eat their as it looked like a lovely setting with a romantic atmosphere. We made a very good choice.
The food was delicious and presented really nicely. The wine was also great which can be rare in Thailand. The waitress 'Mai' was absolutely fantastic. What a character, very funny lady! She really made it a memorable evening for us.
The reason why we didn't give this restaurant a 5 in value is because they add VAT and a service charge which made the price jump up quite a bit from what we were expecting.
We would definitely eat their again if we return to Samui.

“Be ware”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

We didn't eat anything, just had a juice and mojito. That was 250 baht. Now what you should pay attention to: they charge 10% for service and 17% VAT. So the final sum - 294 baht. We are lucky that it was just two drinks, otherwise we could have an unpleasant surprise.
