“Impiana Chaweng Noi - Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

We have just had our second holiday in two years at Impiana Chaweng Noi. This is an outstanding hotel with great facilities and staff. We were particularly impressed with Ya, one of the Managers, Prayoon, who looked after our booking and John who is one of the Security men out the front of the Hotel. If you are looking for a family friendly hotel and don't want to be kept awake at night by the doof doof of the all night parties at the more central hotels, this is the place to stay.

It is at the very southern end of Chaweng Beach and only 6-7 minutes into town by scooter, THB200 by taxi or THB50 per person on a troop carrier.

Great pool and an excellent beach as well. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Superior Rooms are very spacious

We had a family holiday here for a week and a half and loved it. Amazing vistas very friendly staff. Easy access to everywhere Koh Samui has to offer. Would recommend this resort very highly. Had a great time on the beach and the beach bar is a very relaxed and friendly place. 5 stars.

When we booked the room we had requested two beds, when we checked in we had only got one bed so we were moved to a second room.
In the second room out aircon didn't work so we had notified staff twice and were told that they were "too busy."
When we were approaching staff about these matters the girls at the desk were very rude and not helpful at all.
We were moved to another room and the bed was hard as a rock.
Overall the service was poor and felt like we were a hassle to them, rooms were pokey and small and it would almost be comfier to sleep on the floor.
Only good thing we found about this hotel was the beach.
We checked out of the hotel after one night stay and requested a refund!

Great place. Nice rooms, decor and grounds. We stayed in a "standard room" which faces the road rather than the sea and has no balcony, but are quite spacious. It had a queen bed and a day bed/lounge plus desk. I considered upgrading to a balcony room, with sea views but they were smaller with no lounge, so was happy to stay in the standard room. In addition to standard housekeeping, beach towels and drinking water are replaced daily.
The pool is small but honestly with the beach right there it's hardly used. Plenty of beach chairs with palm trees and umbrellas for shade. There are lounges in the bar area and an air conditioned guest lounge that we used for a few hours while waiting between check out and airport pick up.
The restaurant is very good, a wide ranging menu and reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet is good, with eggs cooked to order, however after a week I did wish for a bit more of a rotation of items. Room services was prompt. The bar is good value at happy hours (of which there are 3 per day!) with 2 for 1 beer and cocktails
The staff are very friendly and helpful, all but a few with excellent English. We were greeted on check in buy staff with a refreshing towel and cold drink, and all paper work done while we reclined on lounges.
Located at the far southern end of Chaweng beach is is quieter that the main restaurant and shopping strip (and a nicer and less crowded beach). It would take about 30 min to walk along the beach to the main strip, however they have a shuttle that takes guests to the shopping district and also picks up 3 times a day, also you can take one of the covered pickup truck taxis out the front for about 50 baht. We did a few day trips and pick up from this location was no issue.
All in all I was very happy with out stay and would love to return and recommend to others.

In the area Dr Fogs restaurant walking distance up the road on the hill looking out of the bay is very nice, it has Italian and Thai food, a bit pricey (for Thailand anyway) but worth it for the view, ambiance, and service.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are larger but face the road and therefore slightly noisy, but still good value.

The hotel itself is quite nice, but it is a bit difficult walking to the main shopping strip as you have to walk through several resorts and it will take you around 20 minutes. Overall though if you are happy to walk it's great :) the Italian restaurant across the road also has good pizza

My husband and I stayed again for 8 nights in this beautiful resort. The people are just so very helpful from the original booking right through to the end of our stay. The property is beautiful and our suite was everything we could have wanted. The food great, the cocktails lovely and all good prices, especially with happy hours. It is far enough away from the busy area and just a short walk along the beach to get into all the restaurants. You can get tuk-tuks at the front, use the Impiana bus or get a taxi into town easily if you do not wish to walk. There is a library for quiet, airconditioned use with Wifi and complimentary cold drinks and snacks. Lots of reading matter available along with the current news papers. As this was our second visit and loved it originally that is why we chose to go back to this resort and definitely will again.
We just love it and will take our families next time.

Room Tip: There are beachfront rooms available (room 504 is great) or 2 x suites (509 and 510). Great views of...

I loved everything about this hotel. It's understated & not over rated. If I had to find one thing to criticise it would be that they have live music every night by the same duo. Whilst this is very nice the first couple of nights by the 3rd night we were a bit bored of the same songs over and over, plus it was very loud. On to the positives more importantly though, the location is on the most beautiful beach. We were lucky enough to have the best room - the bungalow right on the beach. The staff were always polite. The pool was small but then with such a stunning beach it wasn't a problem as it was never full. The sunbeds prob could be a bit of an issue because there were only 6 I think - but again minor point. Would I stay here again - absolutely. I'm fairly well traveled and have stayed in many nice hotels, some which were much more expensive than this, and this one without a doubt is the one I'll remember above all the others. The food was good (I wont say excellent...but I only say that as i'm comparing it up against some other amazing Thai food). We found in general Koh Samui food to be a bit hit and miss. We had much better food in Phuket - but overall preferred the romance and beaches in Koh Samui. I would definitely consider this place seriously if you were in two minds about this or another place. Knowing what I know now and about how much research I put into hotels before going, I'm glad I was eventually persuaded by a friend to try this place. It was really good. We went last week in Feb. Weather was good most of the time and the beach was never packed. Always beds available on beach itself. Water was great and the theme dinner nights were quite nice (good value for money). There was a nice restaurant up the hill and I would probably give the Italian restaurant across the road a miss. Our whole party of 6 all had very bland food there. If you do want to go out for dinner, try the Thai Orchard in Chaweng - it was much nicer than the hotels food. The hotel has a shuttle service which you have to book and drops you off in Chaweng and picks you up again a few hours later. The journey by taxi only takes about 15 mins, so we did that a couple of times and it wasn't that expensive. Loved it here.

Room Tip: A room upgrade is worth it!
