“As local as it gets”

Almost everything on the menu is worth getting. Sweet toothed people would definitely love drinking the "Thai Iced Tea" which is orange in colour

“Great value Thai food Koh Samui”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014 via mobile

Don't be fooled and walk past this place. People line up to get a table here so don't be late. Food fresh, tasty and excellent value. Give it a go

“Good but not as good as we expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

After reading reviews we were excited about having lunch at Ningas.

Don't get me wrong the food was good but it lacked the wow factor I expected based on the reviews I had read.

When we went they very busy and we were advised at time there might be a delay as they were waiting for more staff to arrive. We were surprised how quickly the food arrived under the circumstances.

All in all a good meal.

“Best place to eat koh sumai ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Like most of the reviews on here we thought exactly the same thing walked past it a bundle of times and it always had a Que.
The inside doesn't look to good and you also have to sit next to people if its really busy. Theres not many staff so you do wait for a long time but once you have ordered you don't have to wait to long. Food is beautiful better then any restaurant on this strip..
Be careful when selecting restaurants as the "big pictures" on the menu come and they are tiny!

“Tasty, authentic thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

Absolutely beautiful food, looking at the restaurant you might be put off at first as it doesn't exactly look stunning (looks a bit like a partially converted garage), but you are going to taste some of the best food in Chaweng in this place! Authentic thai family cooking, you won't care about your surroundings as you tuck into your meal. Loads of choice, the family who run it seem to pour their heart and soul into it and it's great to watch them work (open kitchen so you can see everything). The Penang Curry was gorgeous, we ended up eating here 3 times during our stay as it was too good to miss. Even the more upmarket restaurants weren't doing thai food as nice as this. Just make sure you sit near a working fan as the heat is a bit much sometimes!
