“fair price, small portion, not special, lacking heartful flavor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

The price is fair (relatively much cheaper than bigger restaurants). My husband and I, 2 people, ordered fish cakes (too oily), papaya salad, chinese broccoli stir fried chicken, thai style spicy squids, 2 roasted tiger prawns, the rice, and the drinks. Considering the portion is actually quite small and lacks heartful flavor, I would say my overall experience is just fine, not impressive.

They had really good busy business compared to other same street restaurants. Late September is not peak season and quite some people lined up to be seated. So the service is a bit slow. I guess most people came by to eat because of large numbers of reviews in tripadvisor. On the other hand, because they have good numbers of customers, may I say we have less chance to eat old/expiring food (sea food wise)...

In summary, it is just a place to eat but not to satisfy your palate. And if you want to feel full, order more plates.

“Good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Not very clean, very casual, no decorations, just like eating in a huge kitchen with cement floors. Food good , wide range to choose from, affordable. People stood in a queue and wait to be seated very nightVery popular

“Authentic local Thai food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Excellent local food at cheap cheap prices... Surroundings basic, but the food is something else... Have been going back here on our last three visits to Samui... Lunch is a great time to visit, as there is no queuing up for tables.... Staff are friendly and will recommend "hotness" to your tastes....cheap cold beer also...can't imagine going to Samui without a visit to Ninja !!!

“Nice price and nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

We went there on 25/9/2013 night at about 7:00pm. After we sat down, there started to have a queue outside the restaurant.

We ordered tom yum kung soup, spicy clams, red curry beef, fish cakes, coconut rice and drinks. The coconut rice went well with the curry, and the clams were tasty. We lovely the soup too. It costed about $600 baht for the dinner.

As for the environment, i guess it's a little better than sitting at road side as at there was a shelter. Not really hot as there were fans. But beware, lizards were resting on the walls so don't choose a table near to walls if you are afraid of them.
