“Not worth the value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

the cottage looks nice outside but the room is pretty disappointed.

We have to change to room at the midnight due to the spolit air-con. no one assist us with the shifiting of room. open concept shower. If you choose to bathe inside the bathroom, the shower tap is too small. No choice but to bathe with the insects.

Breakfast not worth. alot of houseflies around.

3-4 staff hanging around at the counter and talking among themselves.

The beach was quite dirty and the swimming pool is not what the photos shown in the website.

Afterall, not quite worth to pay almost $100 for such room. Transports provided to outside for food and shopping.

We were there for one night only and did not try out the food. But the cottage we were in was very pretty with a separate room and bed for our son. Both rooms had independent bathrooms and a cute enclosed private shower, open to the sky.
It's not centrally located though they do have periodic free drop and pick up to the main market. It is very close to the airport. The cottages are set in the midst of a lot of trees and it is on a rocky hillock....very cool and green.

This is a lovely place to stay. Great little huts with plenty of privacy...pool overlooking the beach. Very clean and modern rooms...can walk to town or get resort taxi which runs often and drops off at al's resort in cheweng beach.

Room Tip: All rooms are good....depending on whether you want to be close to the beach or not

Stayed there for 5 nights.

Really nice pool
Nice beach
Nice clean area
Nice room/house

But...
Horrible restaurant
Room was HOT!!!!!!
You feel a little like living in a fishtank. No privacy unless you close the curtains, and that means no light coming in and nothing to look at but walls, drapes and the TV

Its hard to put into words what was wrong, because the facilities are fine, new and modern.
But we never really felt at home there.

The hotel is quite far from the bars and restaurants in the centre. It would take you 30 minutes by walk so better to rent a scooter which would take approximately 5 minutes. Free shuttle service is useless because it only operates three times in the afternoon and once to get you back at night. Very quiet place to hang around, beach is nice but not swimmable. I liked that the kayaks were free. I would recommend paddling to the island opposite the resort which is very near and also swimmable. Breakfast was great, pool was not bad. A resort of its calibre should have free wifi but it didnt and internet was expensive just like the laundry service. Sink was a nuisance because it kept on blocking and clean towels were a rare sight when you return in your villa. Other than that I enjoyed the shower and cosy bed

Brilliant location. about a 15 minute drive from the airport and situated at the start of Chaweng beach. Slightly far away from the restaurants and the main shopping area but we rented a scooter for 150 bhatt from a shop right next to the hotel so we didnt mind the 10 min travel (the hotel will charge you 300 bhatt for the scooter so beware). Front desk was very helpful and made our stay very comfortable.
Breakfast spread is average but one gets a good view of the beach. Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. We loved the small little pool and the view from it. Would definitely stay there again. They also have free kayaking which we didnt get time to utilize.
Only let down was that there was no free wifi.

The resort is made up of little white villas all with outdoor showers and modern amenities. We got a really good rate so was more then pleased, the resort was clean, modern and relaxing. It was very quiet and there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and beach, we found it very relaxing! I would definately reccomend this resort, the only tiny gripes would be there was no free wifi and it was about a 15 walk into the centre of town.
