“Perfect Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

We are a middle aged couple that stayed last week for a 4 night getaway. We had an amazing trip with so many positives and very little negatives. The location on the beach is breathtaking. Clear aqua water for miles and gleaming white sand beach. Our condo was beautiful and very upscale. Overkill for 2 people but we didn't mind the extra space. The full kitchen could handle any amount of cooking. The beds and furniture were very nice and comfortable. My favorite part was the huge screened in porch to watch the ocean for hours. We spend every morning having coffee and breakfast there. We walked the beach for miles. The swimming was better than you could ask for. Shallow and clear water with a soft sandy bottom. Having beach chairs with umbrellas was perfect to escape the sun. We also used the complimentary kayaks. They also have a stand up paddle board that we did not use. The two pool areas were nice to have. One was usually more busy with kids the other a bit quieter. The pool bar was perfect for lunch everyday. We had dinner once for taco night and it was convenient and good value. We went to the grocery and got food for breakfast. We ate at the other area restaurants within walking distance for dinner. We decided to relax this trip so no activities, no car, nothing but beach and relaxing. The staff was all friendly and happy to help. My only complaint is in part to a location issue. Wi-Fi was terribly slow and non existent at times but I can hardly complain when in paradise. Stay here and you will not be disappointed. It was our best beach trip ever.

Room Tip: Second floor for sure. The 3 bedroom units have better views than 2 bedroom I think.

Our family of five (parents and 3 teenage daughters) just returned from 8 days at BBC -- our third visit to the resort. If you want to completely relax, Treasure Cay is the place to go. With only a few restaurants and bars, along with the distance from Marsh Harbor, crowds seem to be nonexistent (If you are a foodie, be prepared for slim pickings on the food front. We cook most of our meals in the condo, so no big deal.). The resort is beautiful and the grounds are very well maintained. The beach is the widest on famous Treasure Cay Beach. Service has gotten better over the course of our three visits, but when we ate our one meal at the pool bar/restaurant, they had no fish. My only complaints -- very minor -- would be that they don't clean the beach in front of the resort (small pieces of trash all over) and they could use a few more umbrella/chair setups. It wouldn't take much to clean the beach and groom the sand every day, or even every few days, given the number of groundskeepers at BBC. It would make the beach even more incredible.

I also wouldn't recommend condo #2050. The units we had stayed in before, which we absolutely loved, were not available, so we booked 2050 based on its location on the newer side of the resort and proximity to the beach. The condo is furnished with VERY cheap and uncomfortable furniture -- even worse than your normal rental unit furniture. In addition, the kitchen is poorly stocked. We didn't have bowls for cereal/soup and there was no spatula or tongs or long handled fork for flipping bacon :) It also lacked Tuperware, which is important in a rental unit with a kitchen for leftover purposes. No comfortable chairs on the lanai to read or just enjoy the view. No soap dishes in the bathrooms, and the master shower didn't have a soap/shampoo holder on the wall (or even a shower caddy), so you had to set everything on the floor of the shower. This shower is also losing its tile grout. There were lots of marks and 'dings' on the walls -- the master bath was missing a towel hook that looked like it had fallen off the wall, and the master bedroom's smoke detector was sitting on the dresser when we arrived. The second and third bedrooms had no televisions (which wasn't the case in the other condos we've stayed in) and the TV remotes for the living room and master TVs only went "up" with the channel button, not down. Finally, the AC didn't seem to cool the master bedroom very well -- at least not as well as the rest of the unit. Some of this may sound nit-picky, but the unit was so disappointing compared to the other two we had stayed in. The condo is decorated nicely, it just needs an upgrade on furniture and kitchen utensils, and perhaps a few cosmetic touch-ups.

Despite the unit, we had a fantastic time. Beautiful beach, no crowds, cold Kalik -- very relaxing vacation!

P.S. Spent a full day on the water with Captain Mark -- what a blast! We fished (caught tons of strawberry grouper, trigger fish and yellowtail), went snorkeling, took food and water to the wild pigs, fed the stingrays and nurse sharks, and visited Green Turtle Cay for lunch. An unbelievable day with Capt. Mark, who is a very cool, laid back dude!

We had our May 2014 wedding at the Bahama Beach Club and can't say enough wonderful things about the resort and staff. We flew into Marsh Harbour and were picked up by Freeland, who along with Lucky Rolle, ended up taking us and our family all over the island during the week. It was about a 40 minute ride to the BBC. Our flight had been delayed and the front desk was already closed, but they had given Freeland the key to our condo so that we could get in. We stayed in condo 2046 (amazing), a second story three bedroom condo with amazing views of the ocean. Our family and friends arrived the next few days and we all had condos within the same few buildings, with the exception of my husband's mother. Their condo had been flooded the night before they arrived and so they were upgraded to the 4 bedroom + loft, unfortunately it was on the other side of the resort.

Our Welcome Party was Thursday night. It was supposed to be at the Pool Bar but it had rained earlier that day and so it was moved to the Pavilion. We had cocktails, hors d'ouerves, and a PIG ROAST! This was a huge hit with all of our guests, and even the staff!

Our wedding was on Saturday at 5pm. It had been extremely windy for a few days and even rained all day Friday, but luckily the sun was out on Saturday! The ceremony took place on the beach at 5pm. We had the Palm Arch set up with a few beautiful flowers. Due to such high winds, it was hard to hear the officiant and each other, but it was still perfect. We then moved into the Pavilion for the reception. DJ Craig Boo of Twisted Boodah provided fantastic music all night long. Melinda Pinder of Buds n Blooms provided the beautiful bouquets. Randy Curry and his daughter Karen did the photography and did such a good job. Again, the staff was incredible.By this point, they knew our whole party by name (35 of us). We danced, drank (the bar was stocked), and had an amazing time.

We had a brunch in the Pavilion on Sunday morning. The buffet was awesome, how could it not be with Mimosas?!

Planning the wedding was one of the easiest things that I have ever done, and I am used to seeing friends pull their hair out when planning their own. Any questions I had for Jerry were answered and anything I asked for he provided. We even planned on lighting Sky Lanterns at the end of the ceremony but had to skip it due to the high winds. The BBC did not charge us for these since we didn't get to use them.

Ultimately, we chose the BBC because they were so great to work with and because of the option of condos for our families and friends. If you are on the fence, do not hesitate to book. The beaches are incredible, the water the clearest and bluest I have ever seen. The condos were beautiful, all decorated differently but so comfortable, especially for families. The staff was hands down the most accomodating that I ever come across. Thank you Jerry, Shantell, Garnet, Krystal, Natalie, Rudy, Lucky, Freeland, and anyone else that I may have missed, we had a wonderful wedding week that will never be forgotten!!

Room Tip: 2046 was our favorite!

Two of us traveled to BBC for just 3 days/nights to do some quick wedding recon in a very tight window. We were picked up from the airport and shown around Marsh Harbor, stopping at Maxwell's for groceries. Being from a resort town in Colorado we did not find the grocery prices to be unusually high and the food quality was very good!! As we entered Treasure Cay we got a quick tour of the layout and a few helpful tips where to buy additional groceries (Golden Harvest), liquor and location of the bank. Upon our arrival at BBC we immediately met the owner of the resort who welcomed us by name and really made us feel not only that we were in good hands but the MOST special people on the planet! That is just the way it is there at BBC, everyone is special and gets tailored, individual service. Shantel had all our preferences and tasks we wanted to accomplish lined out as soon as we walked up to the desk to check in! Garnett showed us the reception and ceremony locations as well as pictures of all different kinds of weddings that have been at BBC and what it looks like if a back up ceremony location is needed for bad weather. Keeshad and Chris in the kitchen made us so much delicious food over two days for tasting. Keeshad also took time from his kitchen to come out and speak to us personally about what we wanted for reception food and how we could work to fit it in our budget!
The specialty nights at the bar and pavilion restaurant are geared to family or couple and the resort just down the beach is easy to access when it is their special nights (BBQ, Pizza). The service for food and beverage is top notch!
We cannot say enough about the accommodations also! All the condos are beautifully appointed in beach decor and often have shell accents that come right from the GORGEOUS Treasure Cay beach right in back of the resort. The condos are large and comfortable with plenty of space to entertain and the large, well supplied, full kitchens (plates, pots, pans, glasses, etc) make it a joy to cook your own food if you want. The bed was soft and we both got a good sleep, plenty of towels, paper products and 2 gallons of water are provided. Water is precious, drink the bottled water. We took numerous walks on the beach and used our golf cart (they have them at the resort for guests to use) to get around TC area. We visited the TC Marina a few times and looked at a lot of the beautiful houses in the area.
Shantel set up golf for us and assisted us with transportation and ferry information when we booked a snorkel trip with Brendal's. She also helped us coordinate photos we wanted to have professionally taken on the beach for our invitations. When we checked out she gave us a list for our guests of all the activities and contact information for services. We saw the owner several times during our visit and he was available for anyone to chat, answer questions or just be a GREAT ambassador for his property! There were two wedding parties at the resort while we were there and they were treated just as special as we were!
There are NO CONS to this trip or property, we only wish we had had more time to enjoy the resort, we did not get to use the complimentary sea kayaks or SUPs but that just gives us more to look forward to next May when we are back. Did i mention they only do one bride a day? That in and of itself is a GREAT reason to choose Bahama Beach Club for your wedding, it is not a 'turn and burn' wedding property with 5 brides in a day, just you on your day making it even more special!! thanks to all the staff and to Jerry for setting it all up!!!! we can't wait to come back!!!!!!!!!! =)

We had our destination wedding at Bahama Beach Club on April 26, 2014. Everything was perfect and our guests loved it. Krystal did an amazing job having everything setup for the reception and taking card of the flow of the reception. She is a great wedding coordinator. We had to do so very little in terms of wedding planning and had to do absolutely nothing the day of the wedding--Krystal and her team did it all!! If I had to go back and do it all over again I would definitely have it at Bahama Beach Club. 60 of our friends and family came for the wedding from ages 6 months to 73 years old and everyone had the best time. I definitely recommend a lantern send-off on the beach & the bonfire the night before the wedding. It was the perfect way to have a wedding with close friends and family without all of the stress. THANK YOU to everyone at Bahama Beach Club who made our day a dream.

We just returned from our second visit to Treasure cay. First time staying at The Bahamas Beach Club. We had a wonderful time. The resort is very well kept and so beautiful. The beach right in front of the resort is stunning. The water was calm and clear. The food at the resort was also wonderful. Treasure Cay is overall a very quiet area of Abaco, but offered my family everything we needed. If you are looking for a lot of nightlife I would steer clear of Treasure Cay. We are already planning our return visit.

We traveled to Treasure Cay in early April 2014. Stayed at BBC and LOVED it. Our age range 14-73. It was great for everyone. We were in the area of the resort away from the restaurant. Steps away from the most beautiful beach and water! The pool was great for the kids. We walked every day at low tide to the shallow sand bars to the right when you get to the beach. There is a cropping of rocks at the end of this side of the beach that we had some pretty good snorkeling. The condo was perfect - comfortable, clean, beautiful with everything we needed. Rented a car for the week so we could explore, but also had a golf cart for a couple of days. Loved it. Plenty of restaurants for us. The grocery store had everything we needed. I would go back tomorrow if I could!

Room Tip: We were on the lower level. Really glad we were. Just walked right out to the pool and beach area...
