“Fine dining in lovely village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We enjoyed an excellent meal at a table with a view to the lovely hills in this attractive village. There are menus at prices ranging from 27 euros to 97 euros as well as a la carte. We chose the 27 euro menu and were amazed at the excellent quality. The chef is a real character and explained every course in great detail.

“Thisis France!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

When you think of visiting France and you think of a typical French meal, this is the restaurant in your mind! The service was perfect, the Chef friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and actually fun. This is a meal where you have to have your camera ready to take a photo of each course!

“Lovely dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

The chef himself, Jean-Pierre Saint Martin, came out to help us with the menu. He was delightful. We decided we'd all have the 43 Euro multi course dinner, and he said he would "take care of us". Many courses, each one better than the last, had us swooning. It was such a lovely night, we were sitting outside on the patio and we were eating the most amazing food, it was just heavenly. Highly recommended.

“what a spoil....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

I was chapperoned for the day, with lunch already decided. Le Viscos was unpretentious, though, carrying a hat..... The menu was small and by no means usual.. I decided on the pidgeon parcels, with my friend, a small though delicious steak. The chef, Jean-Pierre Saint-Martin, Maître Cuisinier de France, appeared when he was ready to prepare our meals. He went through every detail from preparation to presentation. Quite a spectacle to one that new very few words of the french language. The restaurant is understated and the balcony area (a revamp would not hurt) having a view of the Argelès valley and the Viscos peak in the horizon. For me the town and experience was unforgettable

“A Seventh Generation Gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

A charming family run restaurant and hotel. They are now at their 7th generation chef with an 8th in the waiting. The food is super with the chef taking a very personal interest in ensuring you are both surprised and delighted by their offerings. He aims to serve dishes with local produce and with flavours long forgotten. A delightful place to spend a romantic evening or tasty afternoon.
