“Awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Staff were rude and completely ignorant. The caves are not at all interesting - 15 minutes and you have seen what little there is to see. After being ripped off and seeing a couple in front of us being ignored when they were hinting at the staff to be served, and we could take no more. If you want to see mushrooms, go to the Musee de Champignons near Saumur, I was there for 3 hours and the staff were really pleasant too. This is a hell-hole that even the staff don't want to be anywhere near.

“Go for Lunch....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Visited in mid-March, and the place was empty except for us and a few other couples. No one was in the Cave during our tour. No guide or people. It's nothing fancy or dramatic. It's a Mushroom Cave, full of different kinds of mushroom growing. We really enjoyed walking through at our own pace and looking at all the different kinds of mushroom. We took along an English Chart that was full of information about each type of mushroom, which made the tour more interesting and informative. After the tour we decided to have a taste of these yummy looking mushrooms and headed next door to the restaurant. Small, quaint, and romantic....they had a fire going, the staff was friendly and it was a relaxed and enjoyed dining experience. We opted for two different types of the baked Mushroom and were not disappointed. *Just a couple of tips. The walk up to the cave is quite steep, so have good shoes on for touring the caves. Our second tip is for management....invest in more items geared forward kids for purchase, i.e. stuffed mushroom toys, T-Shirts, Hats....tourist love to shop...you could really increase your business with more items for sell.
