“Very nice campsite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Just returned from two weeks here - a lovely small and quiet campsite. We ate in the restaurant twice - a three course meal was €20 for adults with the local wine being €10 per bottle. There was plenty of choice on the help yourself salad starters. We had the ice cream for dessert from which there was a huge selection.

It has a nice swimming pool complex although there are not enough loungers/chairs in the height of season! You do need to be aware if you have little ones running around the pool area as it is quite slippery. also, around the two straight slides is a step either side which you may not notice as it has not been clearly marked. The two curly slides are great, especially if you use the freezing one on a hot day!!!

We stayed with Keycamp - the reps were fine. Felt that the caravan was slightly tired - some things broken.

Good cycling around the area - the campsite tourist office has a cycling map you can ask for.

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of July with our two young children (4 and 1).

Overall we had a lovely holiday but the site was a bit too quiet for us. My opinion has been somewhat influenced by the fact that the weather was really bad while we were there-cold and wet (15 degrees most days!!).

The campsite has everything you would expect-a shop which as usual was expensive enough, a restaurant in which we ate once and had a really lovely, good value meal, a takeaway which we used once also and which was good, a good swimming pool complex (the water was very cold though). Mini golf also available for a small fee as well as tennis.

We stayed with keycamp and found the kids clubs excellent for our 2 when they went.

I didn't find the site staff in the reception or the information kiosk very knowledgeable about either the campsite or the surrounding area.

The region is beautiful with so many fantastic chateaux to visit if the weather is bad-our kids were too young really to be walking around chateaux so we did whistle stop tours of them but if your kids were older you would have plenty to do in the region when the weather is bad.

We went on the tour of the local farm and vineyard which was well worth the few euro it cost-croc du merle. The wine produced there is excellent.

We also went to the local Max Vauche chocolate factory-again another good rainy day activity.

We went to the Chambord estate a few times-hired a four seater bike around the estate which was good fun and went to the horse show which was entertaining for the children.

All in all we had a good holiday but we will be looking for a busier campsite next year and going further south to try to guarantee some sunshine!

Spent a few days here the end of July. Great place for exploring the Loire Valley, only a short drive in the car or bike ride from Chambord which is amazing. The site is set out in a forest with tree lined pitches for a bit of privacy . Good size pitch with hook up and water . We stayed in are vw camper but there's caravans tents or tree houses to rent. The site has a lovely swimming complex with pools and a lazy river which we loved. They also have a wellness centre with spa bath etc. Didn't eat in the bar but tried the takeaway next door which cooked lovely food. But a bit pricey though. Small shop on site where you can get fresh bread etc. Toilet blocks we both felt were a bit dated and not clean when we used them which is a shame, as everything else was good. And did think 46 euros a night for a camper, 2. adults and hook up was a lot of money ! Over all though enjoyed are time there and would use it again to see the sites of the Loire Valley.............

Stayed here in mid June 2012 for 5 nights in a Eurocamp caravan. Having heard good reviews about the sites I was disappointed with the site compared to others in France that I have stayed at previously. The site although described as small seemed fairly large and was quite noisy. The pitch we had wasn't very well maintained although it was large. The site is well located and within easy driving distance of a number of the Loires attractions and towns/cities such as Orleans and Tours

This super campsite celebrated Bastille Day with a charming parade of children carrying 'chinese lanterns' and a 30 minute firework display . All the children were invited to join in and were given the lanterns. A really memorable evening.
We only stayed 2 days on our way back from the south but our son caught 15 fish in the small lake, loved the lazy river and we had a super meal in the restaurant. I particularly liked the relaxed village green atmosphere of the play areas in front of the chateau.

A small friendly holiday camp set in the glorious region of the loire valley. The campsite boasts a small tastefully decorated resteraunt which services "ok" food. However within this region you have many magnificant establishments you are spoiled for choice. An excellent base for exploring the area and for that reason we will definately be revisiting. We booked through eurocamp but on this occassion we were very dissapointed with their Reps. As we only used the kids club on the last day it was quite obvious that the reps didnt have any interest in making our children (5 and 3 year old girls) feel welcome or included. We ended up leaving the session early, although the swimming instructor was amazing "Laura" and made every effort to encourage the children during their lessons whcih were included in the price of our accommondation.
