Stayed here with 2 teenagers having been to the resort several times. I booked this chalet due to it being good value (all inclusive). Another reason for booking was that the web site stated it was "just a 2 min walk to the lifts". Upon arrival, it was soon clear that this was a vast exaggeration of the truth. The chalet hosts stated the only realistic way to the slopes was a 8-10min bus ride. Fortunately the bus stops right outside but doesn't really make up for not being able to walk there in 2 mins. I have fed this back to the owner who to his credit has changed the web site - however, in my opinion, this is simply not a walkable distance with ski kit (uphill on snow / ice covered paths).
The web site also advertised the chalet had Wi-fi. With teenage kids who need to be occupied of an evening to avoid being bored of all the adult chit chat WI-fi is another factor which secured my booking. However, an email to guests 2 days before the holiday stated the Wi-fi wasn't working. The reality - as the chalet hosts told us - was that there had been no Wi-Fi all season. I do feel misled that the owner had not seen fit to advise us about this at the time of booking. To side step the issue and say there was other WiFi in the bars is not ideal especially when it means taking the children to the bars and incurring extra costs paying for drinks to access the wifi.
The web site also states they will provide free sandwiches on the transfer bus. A nice idea given it takes about 2.5 hours and a good reason to avoid airplane food. However, there was no food forthcoming (and no explanation) which is another niggle which leaves you hungry until you arrive.
In short, if you promise something for a paying guest, then please make sure you deliver on it.
I also have reservations about the suitability of this chalet for children. I go into chalet holidays with an open mind about other guests and I have no issue with communal living. However, there seemed to be a 'party' culture which meant lots of noise, drinking and music from the living room area up to 2-3am on at least 2 nights. This may not have been a problem but the rooms above the lounge could hear everything from downstairs, there is no soundproofing. The staff warn you on arrival it can be noisy as sound throughout the chalet travels - hey, they even provide ear plugs ! But it's a bit late to warn us of noise once we get there...and the chalet hosts seem only too keen to be part of the party. I did have a sense of humour failure when one of the other guests came into our room at 1am looking for one of the staff bedrooms !
On a positive note, the hosts were very nice people, the food was very good and they know how to cater for their guests in difficult conditions. Overall, the price still represented good value. My quibbles were based on what I saw as false promises which took the edge very slightly off a great holiday. The skiing was fantastic, the weather was great for the most part and I will be going back to the resort. However, I don't think I would venture back to this chalet - just personal preference.

We'd like to apologise again prefusely to this guest in response to the factors that contributed to his holiday being less than perfect - as the perfect holiday is what we always strive to provide for our guests.
In response -
a) The chalet IS a very short walk to the nearest ski lift, it may not be 'a couple of minutes' exactly (we'd written this as a turn of phrase rather than an indication that it takes exactly 2 minutes) and since discussing the issue with this guest we have amended the text on our site slightly to 'a short walk to the lifts' to avoid any future confusion. To confirm exactly, we have now timed the walk ourselves at less than 5 minutes.
b) We amended the text on our marketing material which advertised Wi-Fi in the chalet as soon as we became aware that the local Telecoms company were unable to connect our chalet with Wi-Fi. We have apologised to all guests for this inconvenience and all guests were advised of this prior to their holiday.
c) Our transfers are provided by an external transfer company whose management agreed with us (the Bura management) that they would happily deliver sandwiches from our chalet staff to the guests for the journey - the external company's drivers then took it upon themselves to discontinue this service without our permission (or knowledge) and this review was the very first time that this had been brought to our attention. We can only apologise whole-heartedly for this as we were entirely under the impression that all guests were receiving their sandwiches and this issue has now been addressed with the transfer company.
Finally, with regards to the mix of chalet guests and the type of holiday that they are after during their stay with us - we do always strive to the best of our ability to avoid a mix of 'guest types' who share the chalet with each other. For example, we would always refuse a booking from a family with young children if they wanted to book the same week as a stag do, however for the most part guests need to remember that the beauty of chalet holidays - i.e. the sociable environment and the close quarters shared with other people - more often than not results in fantastic, lasting new friendships, however very occasionally can result in this kind of situation unfortunately.
To summarise, we would like to thank the guest for his positive feedback regarding the hosts, food and value of the holiday and while we have discussed all of the negative issues personally with the guest via email and taken steps to ensure that some of the confusion does not arise again with future guests, however we would like to take this opportunity to mention to anyone considering booking a chalet holiday that a chalet is different to a hotel - chalet holidays are very sociable, intimate environments where everyone, regardless of whether they've met before, shares meals, living quarters, bathrooms and the holiday as a whole - the vast majority of the time this does result in wonderful shared experiences, new friends and a wonderful holiday as a whole (hence our very high Flipkey rating and the amount of awards we have won), however very occasionally your fellow guests may have a slightly different idea to their expectations of the holiday.
