“Bour-très-bon Atibaia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

If you´re looking for a place to spend some nice time with family this is the place. Nice and big rooms, amazing meals in a beautiful place and very close to Sao Paulo (1-1.5 hour driving). One of the best breakfast experiences in my life (they serve a huge variety of items with quality and quantity). Among the meals croque monsieur on beakfast and crème brûlée in the roll of the fantastic desserts. It is really surprising to keep the level with such amount of food served everyday.
Not a single complain (all staff members were indefectible). Special thanks to D. Ivani (babies cafeteria), very lovely person. Lots of enterntainment for children.

Room Tip: You will see complains about rooms facing the road but with doors closed it is fine. I personnaly pr...

Great hotel in Atibaia, with a friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms. Lots of activities for the kids with the monitors. Very good meals. One of the best Resort in Sao Paulo area (less than 1 hour from SP).

I was recently at Bourbon Atibaia and can recommend it! It´s great place to stay, specially when traveling with kids. They have kids monitors from 3 years to 17 years old - but call in advance to make sure if they would be available (I´m not sure if they work 365 days). They have also 2 areas for kids to play indoor and beside one pool.
Their infrastructure is great, with 3 different pool areas - Kids and Adult Pool Playing Carnival Songs, Quiet and Nice Pool where you can Relax and one Indoor Pool. Gym is also good!
They have several tennis courts, volleybal courts, and football (soccer) fields.
Meals are overall good, Desserts are great!

Pro - Place to go with Kids (weekdays are used by business people, weekends and holidays for people with kids)
Pro - Desserts
Pro - Friendly Staff
Pro

Con - Linen and Towels (hotel celebrated it´s 10 year anniversary, I bet towels are from 10 years ago also)
Con - Quality of Steak/Meat - It was the low point of every meal, Usually meat was dry and tough. Lucky they have chicken, fish and pasta.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor with ammenities view - this way your room will face the nice valley with pools...

This ranks as one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The hotel was empty and they put my family of four in two rooms facing the highway. The noise was incredible. We asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel facing the quiet side. It took them two hours to clean a room for us, even though the hotel was vacant. During this time, they offered no special treatment for us, while we sat in the lobby in full view of the people at the reception desk. Look at the room photos. This hotel should be striped of 4 of their stars. Food was like a school cafeteria.

Room Tip: Do not accept a room facing the highway, and check the carpets before you had over your credit card.

I was there for a conference. The air conditioning essentially doesn't keep the rooms cool--the air is not cold enough and the fan does not circulate enough air. Therefore, it is hot and uncomfortable. Next problem--little to no maintenance. I stayed in Room 655--the sink had a crack in it. The carpet is old with stains. The blackout drape has a few pinpoint holes in it. The room smells dusty--as if it has not been thoroughly cleaned/shampooed in eons--that includes the "bedspreads" also. The beds are hard. They do not have rooms with king-sized beds. And the location is in the middle of absolutely nowhere. If you are stuck there for a conference, good luck. If you have a choice to go there, don't.

Room Tip: Get a room facing east, as it won't be as hot from the afternoon sun.

I was there for a business meeting for several days, and in general the hotel is excellent, great service and food quality.

I wasn't able to take full advantage of all facilities (pools, gardens, etc) but walked by them and everything seemed in very good conditions, It's a hotel to go and stay there to enjoy a getaway of the city, you have everything you need there and staff was very pleasant.

The quality and food assortment is amazing it's really worthwhile enjoying every meal there.

I recently attended a business conference at the resort. Our group took over virtually the entire hotel. Everything about the stay was perfect - the room, the food, the bar, the staff, and the convention facilities. The pictures posted are very accurate.
