My title sums the place up neatly but I'll expand a bit. Our lunchtime food was very good, the service attentive and the view through a forest of masts in Birgu's marina over to Valletta is lovely, making it a great place to relax. I tried to imagine the sights and sounds of the siege of 1565 and the bombardment of 1941-42 but it's so peaceful now that I failed. Maybe another glass of their excellent house white would have helped.
Only one minor gripe - the toilets have a strange arrangement of doors and the decor is rather dark. This, combined with my photochromic specs, led to a bit of difficulty in my finding the door to the gents - it's easy to walk right past it. I was relieved to find that it wasn't just me; as I was washing my hands a Dutch guy wandered past looking puzzled and obviously lost. My pointed finger set him in the right direction.
