“An experience of great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

I enjoyed every moment there with my family. The food is excellent and explained to the very last detail from preparation, the way it is cooked and ingredients used. Every single item is mouthwatering. Sure a place I recommend for foreigners.

“A wonderful meal in a charming restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

The restaurant's owner is a friendly and charming character and served a selection of local "assaggini" (a bit like Maltese tapas). These were so plentiful and so delicious we didn't have space left for a main course! The complimentary glass of cool lemonade with mint was a lovely touch.

“a must eat !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Anybody who ever have a chance to visit Malta shouldn't miss this place! Wonderful atmosphere in a hidden street of Birgu with absolutely top-class food. You don't choose á la carte but you can eat a selection of foods that are prepared upon the day of your visit - and you don't have any reason to complain about this fact at all! Can't be overrated enough.

“Cooking of the highest class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Country cooking in the best traditional Maltese tradition but the taste is right up-to-date. I cannot recommend Tal-Petut highly enough. There is no menu. You eat what's being cooked on the day and it's all the better for it. All the ingredients are local and the owner will talk you through the food's preparation which may have begun several days ago. We were given a tour of the kitchen as well! Don't think twice about eating here - try it.
