“Holiday/ daughters wedding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Stayed at the hotel from the 21st aug to the 4th sept. could not fault this hotel, as soon as we got there family n friends my daughter was greeted by tony VIP gentleman, reception was a little slow at booking us in, but it was busy, food was good, and I am fussy , clean towels every day, room cleaned every day, we had one of the old rooms, my daughter had one of the updated rooms, it was very nice, bar staff was friendly, I don't know what some people are moaning about, food hall had a good variety to choose from and very clean. On the 29th aug was my daughters wedding day, tony put strawberry s n cocktails on near the reception before leaving for the wedding venue, tony came to my daughters room with strawberrys n champagne, he organised all guest when mini bus came for them, Tony also lead my son I law out side when the surprise red farreri came for him , that he drove to the venue, elixir, WOW, wat a venue, ELIXiR is on top of a cliff overlooking a beach, shabby chic, paper lantings etc, any one getting married in ibiza go take alook at this venue, amazing, as we entered the path down to the reception on the wedding day tony had an extra surprise, he played the wedding march, made it extra special, all the hotel guest was clapping, WOW, I would definitely stay here again, yes u do have to be up early for sun beds, but the hotel is busy, all the wedding party enjoyed there stay . mother of the bride sheffield

Room Tip: Pool view are good rooms, we had sea view which are quieter, upgraded rooms are very nice

Just returned today after a weeks stay with our 14 month old. Self catering. Mixed feelings on this hotel. Good and bad points worth mentioning.
Good - getting cot in room. Getting high chair in room. Nice garden grounds to walk around. Beach round the corner with some lovely beach bars to watch the sunset. Water park excellent. Entertainment good for kids above 2 years, they were very enthusiastic and done a great job.

BAD- we must have been in the older rooms, we are well traveled and don't normally mind the rooms but this was disgusting. We only had the towels changed once during our stay, the bed sheets were only changed once as well but to my horror were covered in blood stains. Maids did not sweep any of the floors, or clean the bath, toilet and sinks , they were never touched at all. Basically we had our rubbish emptied each day and that was it. It was filthy.
I had my beach towel stolen overnight from my balcony as it was pegged out to dry.
Entertainment was extremely loud for our 14 month old trying to sleep and us too.
Kids were running up and down the corridor ringing our door buzzers at 2am.
Food from the snack bar was good to start with until I found a dead caterpillar in my plate, it wasn't charged to our bill but still put me off any more food.

Sadly we won't be back here, and wouldn't recommend it for family's with babies, older kids would love it.
Not a great week at all for us and have came home in a downer.

Stayed there 10 th aug this year for two weeks with my hubby and boys aged 8 and 12. Disappointed as soon as we got there. We love ibiza having stopped there the previous two years in a 3 star hotel in San Miguel. This hotel is not a 4 star and was not worth the extra money we paid. Room awful and could here every word next door, shower useless kept falling off. Food awful so much so wear rout. Entertainment terrible. People got up at 6 and laid on sun beds with towed over. Table tennis not free like other al inclusive hotels and pool tables in poor condition. Not all ice creams all inclusive or slush for kids.
Bar staff excellent and beach great.
Will not return here go to San Miguel 100% better.

Everything you could want from a holiday.
Rooms a little dated but all are being updates for next season.
Will be back again assuming the prices don't rocket.
Food plenty of variety, for all inclusive the quality is good.
You can order a packed lunch for dinner which is very useful.
Hotel staff were fantastic. Entertainment very poor by Thomas cook compared to my previous visit

2 adults 10 & 8 yr girls. Went independently 8 nts returned aug bh 2013.
Some features worthy of v good - excellent review.
1.Stayed new family room sea view 8 nts . I rang hotel 2 weeks before asking for quiet room afternoon sun. Very pleased with room all found it v comfortable with fridge quiet good A.c. Hibiscus 2nd floor end room had a stunning view of 2 rock islands .? 1204, amazing sunsets, fun to watch the passing banana boats in the distance which we later tried.
2.Water park much better than usual hotel/ splash parks, easy to get deckchair with umbrella.
3. Although only 1 buffet restaurant at nt again we found it to be much better than similar standards / holiday village . If you like seafood and tapas type dishes you are in for a treat. The pirates night was an unexpected treat, staff all dressed up ,good atmosphere, food fun and tasty. Eg Huge cake in shape of a boat a mermaid gave the kids a pile of chocolate coins so a big hit.
4. Very friendly staff, wine drinkable nice cocktails

Average- poor
1. Pool poor design . Bit small for hotel size made worse by most of it being v deep so shallow ends packed. Closed regularly often for an hour at a time. Outdoor jacuzzi would have been nice.
2. Area where the sun loungers are again too small for hotel size so jammed in. Need a quiet / adult area so if you kids are in club etc you could have a quiet hour occasionally . Also hotel doesn't seem to take advantage of the stunning sea views , only a fraction of loungers face the sea.
By end of our week more loungers arrived there was a more relaxed atmosphere at pool side , less ' territorial spreading out ' as a result. .We never got up early but our two are good swimmers so we did not need a poolside seat. These "prime position beds were often cleared by 430 , less hectic by then as well .
3. Daytime program. No board or information available things were announced 10 min before . Although enthusiastic, v hard working and friendly the entertainers seemed poorly trained.eg The aqua was only for 10mins! Tried it twice both the same 3 min warming up by turning your neck 1 song rotating your arms then a song everyone in a circle (took good few mins as he told us if we were number 1 or 2.) Then 2 min warm down, more neck turning. No other adult fitness classes on offer. The splash water dances were liked by my girls but again it was too short 10 mins . The mid day quiz was identical 4 days apart.
No tennis courts.
Evening entertainment became amusing as it was often so poor but as by then our expectation were low we all tried and enjoyed the bingo as the girls were able to play but not make a claim. The Michael Jackson outside act we loved the choreographer was an amazing dancer although the thriller dancers freaked a lot of the children.again nothing advertised for the main stage so you could not plan when to stay in or go out . It was nice to have outside entertainment though and reasonable queues for drinks. The piano bar singers we found to be poor.

Good
As we were not with air tours we paid 10 euros per child for the Sunday chocolate party 7-10 pm ,easy to get a place and the girls were taken to the buffet by the team during this . They really enjoyed this and I was glad we were told to were practical clothes as they were smothered with Nutella .
Ours no longer want to go to kids clubs , but we could have at 5 euros a time. Those who went seemed to enjoy and they seemed to have several a day.

We hired a car at the airport and was pleasantly surprised how lovely the island was . Would not recommend gold car as they charged 100 euros for full tank of petrol even though we had sev days out island too small to use much petrol. Glad we had full insurance as the parking options are bad and had scratches.
Old town interesting and at sunset the marina was fun to people watch. Beaches everywhere xaracca in the north and cala d'holt south were beautiful v clear sea. My girls learnt to snorkel saw plenty of fish admittedly not that colorful but our highlight was an octopus and a sting ray .

Room Tip: Hibiscus short walk and much quieter. End room 2/3 floor amazing sea views available New family st...

Great room and good facilities, food was as expected for an all inclusive hotel that has to cater for a variety of guests. Good water park for under 13s and good clean pool area. Go down to the beach and have some drinks at the bar as that is excellent and if you are ok with boats get the water taxi rather than the bus to San Antonio it's a bit more expensive but so much more holiday fun than a bus or taxi.
