“Perfect Get-away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We stayed for new years 2012/2013 for a period of 6 nights.

Having read all the reviews we were already looking forward to this lil secret get away. Upon our arrival all expectation where exceeded by FAR!

Everything in this hotel is chosen to match, from the 6 white bungalow to the exotic garden all the way to been given complemetary fresh fruits and exotic drinks at the white sun beds at the pool to ordering breakfast instead of a buffet under the roof of a lil patio ( only seating 12 people at a time)

The 3 owners definitely did an amazing job on ambiance and service. If you are looking for an extraordinary holiday in a oasis of elegance this is the place to visit.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel over a weekend, after some great recommendations from friends, and we were not disappointed.

From the booking of the room, to check-in, stay all the way up to check-out, the owners and staff were extremely hospitable and accommodating. The location would have been rather average, but the hotel has been designed in such a way that it enhances the property. The all-white design gives a feeling of 'heaven', and creates an ideal setting for some R&R.

Afternoon tea in the cozy poolside hut and pre-dinner cocktails make a wonderful prelude to a calm yet impressive dinner.

The hotel is located between the popular Mirissa and Unawatuna beaches, which are a short drive away. Parking can be a bit cramped up, and if you do not go with a driver, you may have to move your car so that other cars can be moved.

I have had the priviledge of staying at The Three on 2 occasions. Each of these breaks have been more than perfect thanks to the beauty of The Three. It is so very different to everything you experience in Sri Lanka - the styling, the rooms and very definitely the bathrooms and even the menu, service and all the little extras. My extended weekend breaks have re-energized me and made me feel new again. The food too has been outstanding - on top of my list is their pasta with mushrooms and bacon and the to die for chocolate cake ! The manner in which the hotel is set out, the view of the sunset from the pavilion, the pool at night with the floating glass balls - them all, it contribute to the magic. But what actually makes the experience real magic is the "three" Themselves. Thomas, Patrick and Vadim are not hoteliers but are genuinely caring human beings who want to ensure you have a great holiday. I'd say you must go to The Three by TPV before you die !!!

If its style and relaxation you are after book this hotel. The rooms are chic and spacious with a simple white decor with quirky furniture. In the reception area you will find unique sculptors and pieces of art work which are available to buy. We bought some of these unique pieces for our flat.

we were greeted with a refreshing drink upon arrival and a tour of the grounds by the owner Patrick. The food is reasonable priced but higher then the average price of food in Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a remote area so you are restricted to eat in the hotel,it would be nice to see more variation on the menu with lower priced food for breakfast and lunch. Also, a nice idea would be to have happy hour or a BBQ every other day as it can be a bit too quiet. The staff are very friendly and during the day the circulate the grounds with cold water and fruit which is such since touch.

The hotel is about 20 minutes from a decent beach which is Unawatuna but the staff will happily order you a tuk tuk or taxi which will cost you around 1000 rupees each way.

The hotel is beautiful and I would recommend booking it especially if you are looking for a romantic break.

Room Tip: Book room 7 if you are a couple looking for romance :)

It was a holiday I badly needed after 8 hectic days in Bangkok! Yes!! .. sounds a bit indulgent but it is what it it is!
My friends and I arrived at what had been described as a beautiful place to stay but in all honesty I had no idea what a treat I was in for!
This place is absolutely mind blowing and I just loved the way all "Three" of the 'the three' owners are on hand to welcome you as well as make sure you are so very well taken care of!
I was supposed to leave the property to a mad beach party that first night but after 15 minutes of exploring the property I decided I wasn't going anywhere!
The food, was fine and the conversation truly Delicious!!!
All in all it was a MIND-BLOWING experience but I do have ONE WARNING!
Like the 'Hotel California' ... once you go in.. you may never leave!

Thank you, Thomas, Patrick and Vadim! (and Sunny!) <3

This was our last place to stay after a bit of travelling around Sri Lanka. Unfortunately there had been a mix up with the booking and we were told that they were fully booked! However Thomas and Vadim were very keen to rectify the issue, so they offered us a smaller room instead and gave us complimentary food and drinks. It was slightly annoying to not get what we had booked and looked forward to after a few weeks travelling but I think Thomas and Vadim handled it well and they were very nice throughout the stay.
The place is beautifully designed and the best thing to do is relax and enjoy the sun beds! The pool is lovely and a good size and the outdoor lounge is a lovely placer to sit and enjoy a few sun downers.
The only downside to the place is the food which we felt could have been better. It was a little hit and miss as one day you could get great food and the next day it would be average (or below). Fish of the day was the same for the 4 days which is not ideal considering the sea is a few hundred metres away! Still Thomas explained that they had a trainee chef at the time, which might be the reason!
All in all, I would recommend it as it is a lovely place in a great location and the hosts make you feel most welcome in the spot of paradise!

My husband and I stayed here on the last 3 days of our honeymoon and it was the best pick! When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas the owner with a warm welcome and we sat down with a cold drink and had a chat with him. When we told him we were on honeymoon he upgraded us to room 7 for our first night - which really has the biggest bed in Sri Lanka along with a double shower outside, it was heaven – he also gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbles to help us celebrate!

The grounds are immaculate and the staff are attentive and friendly, also the dogs are great fun! The infinity pool is so inviting and we spent all day and evening in there chatting to other guests whilst enjoying a glass of wine.

The second room was just as nice as the first and the breakfast was really tasty – I recommend the TPV omelette! We had dinner here twice and was plentiful and filling. Just being able to relax outside in the warm night air and chat to the other guests was such a bonus.

Although The Three is not in Galle itself (which we thought it was and was why we booked it) it was only a 20 minute bus journey into Galle Fort and we realised it was a happy mistake, The Three was so much better than anything else we saw in Galle.

If we ever go back we will certainly be staying here again.

Room Tip: Room 7 has the biggest bed and a double shower!
