“Fancy a drive to the Hills?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

A Weekend trip to the Hills in Spring (or any other season for that matter) is one of the good old traditions. And Mundaring Weir is a must if you haven't been there before. There is a lot of amazing history there, I would suggest to check out Golden Pipeline website http://www.goldenpipeline.com.au/00/index.shtml , but just walking on the top of this dam is something! It is part of our "Best of Perth" for our overseas visitors, but don't look to the West if you have a fear of heights. There are BBQ facilities and you can come from the south side or from the north side of the dam - I personally prefer the north side. It is a shame that water levels are falling and falling, but it is still a very impressive sight.

“A great drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Want to get out & about then take a drive to the 'hills' & go visit the weir. U used to be able to walk all the way accross it but could not do so this time & not sure how long it has been like this. After that one must go the the Mundaring Weir pub for a drink & a great feed. Fantastic place for the young & old!

“Scenic drive, hills, pub and a weir”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012 via mobile

Lovely drive up to the weir, very scenic with hills and valleys. Pub and picnic grounds nearby. The actual weir was disappointing. So many closed off paths and roads. You can no longer walk over the bridge. Too much construction going on. Parking is limited.

“Mundaring. Weir Dam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Mundaring Weir Dam is located 39 kilometres (24 mi) from Perth, Western Australia in the Darling Scarp. A visit to Mundaring Weir can learn about how water is supplied to a large part of Western Australia.  You can also enjoy the history of an early engineering feat.  Mundaring Weir Dam is a great spot for a family outing, picnics too. There have marked nature walks around the Weir which allow you to enjoy the bush, during wildflower seasons, the area around   explodes lots of attractive native flowers.

“A weir”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

We went there. Its a weir...........Thats about it. Gates are closed so you can't cross it until later this year(2012).............. areas down the bottom for a picnic are reasonable and the drive out is pleasant.
