“A fantastic place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

I have the privilege to go for diner there every other month as I get to go travel to Tain l'Hermitage for work. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Conveniently located on the main square. The owners are just great! I always seat at the bar and enjoy nice conversations with the couple who runs this place. Fantastic variety of wines: they are always to share a new wine with you. Food is good. Great charcuterie and cheese selection. Must try the Jacquesson champagne!

By far the most fun night I have spent in France thus far. Great atmosphere, food and exceptional wine. Would highly recommend stopping by for a look... but be prepared you may end up there until the early hours of the morning drinking France's best with Xavier & Nathalie! Thanks guys- will definitely be returning!

“Intimate, even with two kids - a perfect evening meal.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

This place exceeded our expectations for a couple of important reasons: the owners were beyond gracious, and kind to us even with our two children. More, the food was exactly what we wanted/needed. Fresh, housemade pâté and a beautiful plate of salad, fig jam, potatoes, and bread to accompany. And the kids enjoyed fresh pasta - they ate every single bite! The local wine and molten chocolate cake completed the meal. If we lived here, we'd eat here often. Highly recommend.

“Great Wine-Tasting Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

This was a great little place to find on our one night stay in Tain L'Hermitage. It is bright and fresh and the lady who runs it is absolutely charming. We sat at the bar and sampled a number of wines by the glass: white Crozes-Hermitage, a Cote-Rotie and two different Hermitage reds (we can highly recommend the Yann Chave). I'm sure this was a much better experience than paying for a wine-tasting at Jaboulet would have been.

The owner prepared simple, fresh food behind the bar - pasta with basil, comte and chorizo; blinis with thick smoked salmon, soft cheese and trout caviar; and a nice selection of cheese to share.

We had a fabulous evening chatting to this lovely lady and we wish her and her husband great success in this relatively new venture.
