“Good food and pleasant staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

This is a really nice cafe to sit in. They serve quality coffee and the food is reliably good. Hvaing eaten here several times the highlights have been home-made mushroom soup, brie bacon and cranberry paninis and a lovely piece of coffee cake. Will be back !

“A huge asset to renfrewshire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Bernie and her lovely girls have really raised the bar in the cafe/deli scene in Renfrewshire - beats the best in Glasgow too. Fabulously atmospheric , clearly taken a lesson from the Australian and New Zealand cafe scene. All the girls are warm , friendly and chatty.

Food brill` too - The poached eggs on toast are to die for! :-)

Cant wait `till they have a drinks licence too!! ( due Autumn of 2013)

“Sunday Jaunt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Have been here on numerous occasions. sometimes the food and service is great, sometimes terrible. I think there are too many young ones left to do the work at the tables and half the time they do not listen to what you order as on numerous occasions I do not get what I asked for. Now they have outside seating is a bonus, but I think the service could suffer even more. I would like to recommend this cafe deli to other people, but I am not sure I can.

“Child friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We have been several times as its easy to take my daughter as there is space for the pram. The food is always delicious especially the selection of salads and baked potatoes. The selection of homemade cakes are numerous although I always manage to pick one!

“Just ok and very expensive for what you get”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

I attended Bernie’s last week for lunch. I ordered a salmon sandwich, a coffee and my friend had macaroni cheese and a fruit juice. The food was promptly served and was well presented, albeit my sandwich was no more than one slice of bread with one piece of smoked salmon and a very small side salad. It was ok just very small and nothing special about it (maybe a beetroot relish would have been nice, like they serve with a salmon sandwich at the three sisters bake).

The staff were friendly and attentive without being over bearing. All in all Bernie’s is just ok and I would probably have returned until I received the £17 bill! Small portion, big price!
