Went to this hotel per the recommendation of our travel agent and it we loved it. The beaches were nice and clean. The rooms were great sizes, almost like a condo-tel type thing. The overall service and staff were fantastic as well. The casino was OK, nothing to get excited about, especially if you are imagining a vegas type setting. Our little girl got ill and the hotel directed us to a local DR, very nice of them and he was also accommodating...oddly he ended up being in the casino....enough about that. The only complaint I would say came from my wife, which was there were cats in/around the property. That didn't make for comfort, however the management tried to assure us they would try to keep them out by removing them from the property...but I think that's part of being in a tropical setting...there's going to be some animals.

I would strongly suggest staying elsewhere until the hotel abandons their recent decision to use motion sensing thermostats. I have stayed at this property several times in the past few months and each time I have had to spend significant time fighting with maintenance to disable the motion sensing feature on the thermostat.

When you pay for a +$250 night room you expect to have good air conditioning, right? Not at the St. Kitts Marriott. The rooms are set to 78-79 degrees until you enter and then they start cooling. It can take 2-3 hours for the room to cool down. This would be fine if you were always in your room but like myself, I'm sure you want to spend time outside your room.

Here is the worst part - when you are sleeping, the system thinks you are out of the room and will shut off so you wake up sweating every hour. Multiple complaints/calls to the managers haven't fixed this problem.

If it weren't for this issue, the property is nice. However, who wants to stay in a hotel without air conditioning?

I absolutely loved St. Kitts. It is my favorite travel so far. The staff at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort was incredibly nice, helpful and quick. I really loved the food and appreciated that they tried to make the food as Caribbean as possible without being too spicy. The restaurant choices were great and there wasn't one night that I didn't like the atmosphere and the food. Even room service food was great. I found this resort to be very generous, clean and the spa is absolutely wonderful.
This resort was top knotch (and I'm pretty darn picky) and I highly recommend it.
If you get the room service food, make sure you try the portobello with the roasted peppers. Amazing. And for lunch, our favorite was the iceberg lettuce wedge and the conch fritters!

We had the all--inclusive and I definitely think it was worth it! The room was very clean and the view was amazing!

We chose to spend our vacation at the St. Kitts Marriott (in the condos) on the spur of the moment when availability popped up for the dates we needed in Interval International. We did our research on TripAdvisor after booking our room. We were a little skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but found this resort to be beautiful and the staff friendly and welcoming. Our condo was the largest we have ever stayed in with Marriott and was well maintained. Adelcia called me a few days before our arrival and asked if there was anything she could do for us to make our stay better. My only request was a high floor with an ocean view. She worked her magic and we were escorted to a lovely condo on the second floor right on the ocean. The constant breeze off the Atlantic was so pleasant and kept us cool as we lay out on the beach and had our coffee and evening cocktails on our balcony. We also toured other beaches on the island and found that the Marriott was the nicest and best maintained. There are several great restaurants within walking distance (we especially enjoyed Bombay Blues) and couple of others only a short cab ride away. Our 2 favorites were Marshall's and Carambola Beach Club. We also took a half day island tour for only $45 for our family of 3. Elvis, our driver, offered us this low rate since we were there off season and he didn't have anything going on that week. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.

One of the best resorts in the world,amazingly helpful staff,restaurants on site were excellent offering an array of world cuisines.Pools were meticulously maintained as was the beachfront area.Rooms were cleaned very efficiently.Definitely going back next year,came back totally destressed.

Room Tip: pay extra if you can for beachfront rooms,really worth the extra dollars.

Our problems started from the moment we checked in at the Marriott St. Kitts. When we found out that our room was in the worst possible location and did not have a balcony, we requested a room change. We were told there were no other rooms available and that guests would be checking out the following day.  A note was put in the system for our request and they told us that they would get back to us.  That never happened. So we took the initiative beginning the next day and went to the front desk. Additionally, we went back to the font desk  on three separate occasions,  plus we called from our room to check on our room change request.  Our request was denied each and every time. We realized our requests were denied in part due to Delta Airlines  having booked 240 rooms for the 480 people it brought to the hotel for a sales incentive trip. It appears that this party was given preferential treatment .  We, as Marriott Premier Members, were overlooked.  In the past 3 years, we charged more than $180,000 on our Marriott Visa.  Clearly, a large corporate group was deemed more important than our family. An excellent staff is  proactive. A decent staff is reactive.   The staff at Marriott St Kitts is inactive.
Our room, with no balcony, put a major damper on our trip.  We were traveling with our young daughter.  It would have made a world of difference if we would have had a balcony. We could have sat out in the balcony in the morning when our daughter was still sleeping & again  late in the afternoon when she napped. However, we felt trapped in the room because there was no balcony. 
We were not able to control the temperature of the room. If the fan/air was on,   it would get freezing cold.  Without it on, the room was stuffy. Opening the windows did nothing to help the temperature. This made sleeping uncomfortable. Again, a balcony would have allowed for fresh breezy air to cool the room. Also disturbing our sleep one night were people playing tennis after 10:00 p.m.. Our room overlooked the tennis courts. 
We only got turn down service when we asked for it.  And then a couple of nights, used towels were left on the bathroom floor. The towels at the Marriott St Kitts need to be replaced. So many of the towels were worn out and thread bare.  Large clumps of hair were not cleaned from the bath surround day or night.  When we needed a new box of kleenex, it was left for us on the counter, but it wasn't put in the decorative kleenex holder.  We ate Oreo cookies in bed (not as though we could eat on our balcony). And yes there were crumbs. When we pulled back the covers to go to bed the following night, all the cookie crumbs (which are black) were still in the bed.  The headboard on one of the beds was broken and a hazard. Good thing I brought sanitizing cleaning wipes to clean off dirt on the hair dryer, counter & light switches. 
We find it shocking that a hotel with the Marriott name would have a porn channel.  This is a free tv channel, not something you have to pay in order to access.  We were not able to have our daughter use the remote, because of this.  We are offended by this. 
Pool chairs and cushions are in need of repair and or replacement. If you sit at the north or south pool, there are no towel stations and you have to go to the main pool for towels. This is very inconvenient, especially with a child. One afternoon, water coolers at the south pool were empty. They had been this way for 90 minutes. When I went to our room for a minute, I called guest services and let them know about the problem. They said it would be taken care of.   Two hours later, there was still no drinking water in the coolers. Another day,  drinking water didn't arrive until 10:45 a.m.  The south pool was also in need of cleaning.  There were ponytail holders, hand wipes and snack bags in the water. 
The Delta Airlines group brought in two live farm animals (donkeys or ponies) for an evening event. These were kept by the outdoor stage. The next morning around 10:30, we had to scoop up our daughter to  prevent her from stepping in two huge piles of animal dung. This is disgusting. It had been daylight for several hours. There is no excuse to have dung on the ground the morning after an event. Speaking of poop, there were several little piles of bird droppings on the ping pong table too. 
The landscaping on the property leaves a lot to be desired. There are dead  and dried up leaves in numerous planting beds that should  be cut out. Weeds were growing all over the beds. The property does not have a lush tropical feel and is anything but luxury. It is one that needs lots of TLC.  We ate Marriott food (cafe off of lobby and pool food) twice. It was consistent with the rest of our stay.  
The decor in the lobby looks at though it came from various warehouse sales. 
Upon our return in Feb. 2913, Marriott emailed us a survey regarding our stay. The above comments were sent to Marriott along with our email addresses. Not surprisingly, we never heard back from Marriott.  We have basically stopped using our Marriott credit card. This hotel is not owned by corporate Marriott, but by a Canadian businessman. it is a shame to have e Marriott name on this property.  
Adding to the  expense of this vacation were the outrageous taxi prices.  Round trip fare for many restaurants is $50 US. The round trip fare for one of the beaches is the same. Ciao, just a short walk or a $16 round trip cab ride was the highlight of our stay. Incredible homemade Italian food. Also, at lunch they have pizza to go. 
I have learned that we would have been better off using our points at the  Ritz in St Thomas in addition to paying for a few nights.

We just spent a week at this hotel and had a wonderful time. We arrived a couple of hours before check in time, and they gave us a pager to let us know when our room would be ready. Within 30 minutes the room was ready, and the manager on duty told us he'd personally checked the room to make certain everything was ready. We stayed in room 526 in the main hotel which was actually a suite with a double balcony that had access from the bedroom and the living room. The bathroom had a separate whirlpool tub and large shower as well as a toilet room with bidet. The room also had a half bath near the entry. It was equipped with two televisions, but we never turned either of them on during the trip.

We ate at every restaurant on the property and were pleased with the food. Our room rate had breakfast included, so we ate at the buffet daily. They had the same food for breakfast each day with one or two different items. This is typical of the Marriotts where we've stayed before.

We had several spa treatments, and we were pleased with the staff and the services. One day, a spa employee came by the pool to let everyone know they were offering half off deals on massages and facials. I took advantage of the offer by having both services!

We frequented the casino regularly, and the dealers and wait staff as well as the pit bosses were friendly. I even won a jackpot on the Caribbean Stud poker game. That was a surprising bonus that made the trip even better.

I would give the hotel 5 stars except for some maintenance issues I observed. There are two banks of two elevators in the center of the hotel. The first day of our stay, one of the banks (two elevators) went out of service. They remained out of service until we checked out. The mechanical systems (air conditioning and plumbing) in the rooms could be improved. Our air conditioning cooled the room to about 75 degrees. This is due in part to the fact that it doesn't run when you are out of the room. After the room has been vacant all day, it takes a while to cool down. I also think the plumbing needs some work. There isn't a lot of pressure when you flush the toilet and it is fairly noisy. Since we were on the top floor, we didn't hear any other guests' water draining.

We would stay at this hotel again.
