“Great fresh seafood and jerk chicken”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

I agree with all the previous reviews. This restaurant is great! Very informal, true Jamaican style. And almost half the price of Rock lobster Restaurant. They have fresh seafood everyday. The grill lobster looked amazing at $35.

“Terrific!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Probably the best compliment I can give: on our last day on St. Kitts, with a couple of hours before we had to be at the airport, we grabbed a taxi and returned to Jam Rock (where we had eaten earlier in the week) for lunch. Yes, we loved our earlier meal THAT much.

Jam Rock is located on South Friars Bay; if you're staying at the Marriott, it's about a 10-15 minute drive away. It's a small but inviting restaurant, with several picnic tables. Both times we visited, we were seated immediately. The restaurant is located right on the water, with great views of the southeastern peninsula.

Both times, I started with the conch chowder. This chowder is thick, tasty, and tempt-you-to-lick-the-bowl-when-you're-done good. On our first visit, we shared a bowl; the second time around, we each got our own!

During our visits, we tried a variety of entrees -- pan-seared grouper, jerk chicken, jerk ribs -- they were all excellent. Wonderful flavors and terrific plate presentation. The small kitchen is within view of the entire restaurant, so we could watch the chefs prepare our meals. Based on what we saw, and what we ate, they clearly take great pride in what they do.

If St. Kitts is in your travel plans, definitely make the time to stop by Jam Rock for a meal.

“Local, fun, yummy, on the beach, JUST GO!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013 via mobile

A really fun place to visit and watch sunset. It feels like a true local eatery and the food is fantastic, especially the lobster. Also tried the ribs but could have done with more of them! This really should be on your list of places to visit while you are on St Kitts

“Hidden Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

We recently returned from our annual 2 week trip t St. Kitts. We spent our last 2 days on the beach by the Jam Rock beach restaurant. The view is beautiful from there and the beach is also. We ate there both days. The food is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing. I think if you are in St. Kitts you must visit this place at least once and you'll probably go back.
