We stayed at the Haven recently, first class for visiting all surrounding areas.

Turned up at The Haven after being let down by another B & B who knew nothing about our online booking despite taking our deposit. We are so glad they did. We were made very welcome at The Haven with a nice pot of tea and cake. Food, accommodation, facilities, setting were all fantastic. our hosts were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to get back after a hard days sight seeing. Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay for personal reasons but when we go back to Northumberland our first port of call will be The Haven

I took 9 clients to spend 2 days on a teambuilding workshop I ran at the Haven in Nov 2009.

They have not stopped praising the venue and the hospitality offered, saying it rates far better than the Hilton.

I need to know when taking clients to a venue that I can rely on the quality of the accomodation and food to deliver a first class experience. I have used the Haven for many years and they have always exceeded both my own expectations, and more importantly, the expectations of my clients.

Really enjoyed our stay here for two nights. The room was comfortable with a double and single bed for our son. The view from the breakfast room was impressive on a clear morning. The village is only a five minute walk away with plenty of tea shops and others to browse around. The breakfast was ample to keep us going well into the afternoon as we walked to Simonside craggs, a short distance away. Overall a comfortable stay that recharged the batteries!

I stayed for four nights while touring the area. All areas of the house and my room were spotlessly clean and tidy. The host made me feel welcome and comfortable form start to finish. Within an about an hours' drive I visited Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Kielder Water. The National Trust's Cragside is about 5 minutes away. Edinburgh was slightly more distance but an easy drive. In the Village are friendly pubs, shops and a good chip shop.

When we enquired about availabilities the owner was more than helpful and gave a good first impression. When we arrived the offer of a pot of tea and cake was much appreciated and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and due to the number of our party we were in two rooms. Conveniently they were directly opposite and each one contained a wide range of extras to make the stay more homely. The breakfast room was well equipped and catered for all dietary needs. The location was handy for the village of Rothbury with Cragside and Alnwick (and other visitor attractions) near by. We felt the best part of our stay was the friendliness and welcoming attitude. We don't feel there was any low points to our stay and would hope to return sometime soon.
