“Odd interior with a very nice view!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

The interior was quite tacky and the color combinations super odd. Mint colored pillars backed up with sky blue cushions and upholstery and purple walls with beige and brown tiled floors. The bathroom was full marble of different shades and the sink made of bubbly see through glass.

The room was very clean and spacious and had a very beautiful view to the canal. Had a bathtub and bath products and even a little comb which I thought was a nice surprise to find.

The bed was big but quite hard and there was a plastic cover for the mattress just underneath the sheet which was rattling every time you moved.

The service in the restaurant was very friendly in the evening and the food was quite good. Sangrias were excellent!

We got the place on a very short notice cause everything else was booked out and they were the very last place to have two rooms free for that particular peak season weekend.

In general I was satisfied with the experience, but probably will not be in my top 10 favorite hotels.

Room Tip: Rooms with the canal view are quieter as they are not facing the main street.

We reserved this hotel not having read the reviews, the reviews were less than complementary, so we arrived with a little trepidation at around 7:00pm in the evening.
We were met by male receptionist who had all our details, advised us we were to stay in the complex over the road (this is the one with the swimming pool) and that we had to climb stairs as there was no lift, not a problem for us but something to be aware of.
We had no paid, he took no credit card details just swept us off over the road through a card operated security gate and nto the building.
We had reserved a standard double, to our surprise we were given a suite!
One bed at least 3 metres wide a second large double was in the room, sofa easy chairs, large screen tv, two air conditioning units which worked well and a gigantic bathroom with all the usual facilities and complementarity items.
Ok, the jacuzi bath didn't jacuzi!
That was the only slight complaint, it was big enough for for though, and we filled it and there was enough hot water to fill it.
The room was magnificent, there was also a secluded area where part of the roof had been cut away to provide an outside terrace, where if you wished to get an all over tan you could in privacy.
We had breakfast on on of our two mornings at the hotel, no complaints, hot and cold table, lots of orange juice all provided with a view over the canal, what can I say!
You need to take into account we arrived mid September, late in the season, the hotel was not fully booked but there were plenty of people in for breakfast.
On check out we viewed the bill, it was correct we had only been charged for a standard double and one breakfast, I asked if they would call for a taxi, no problem, we were back at our aircraft within ten minutes.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience, what more can you expect for 50 euros a night!!!

Room Tip: There is only one room on the top floor of the building with the swimming pool, we had it, no views...
