We had a good holiday, however, reception staff are rude and ignorant, ignore what you say and are very unhelpful. At first glance the cathedral like design of the hotel is impressive, but this makes rooms very noisy, front and rear. Lots of change over of short term guests, and geared towards the largely french and spanish clientel. Good pool and sun bathing areas. Food average to good, staff pleasant, however it's not worth paying for the upgrade to premium drinks, as everyone gets the same

Booked this hotel on a All Inclusive deal for 4 days end of April. Hotel is impressive as you walk in with a very big lobby area and tall celings. Reception staff were proffesional and polite and the room was ready when we arrived. We were in a superior room with twin beds, plenty of wardrobe and storage space and a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The bathroom was big with 2 showers, a bath, sink and bidet. The pool area was lovely with 2 pools, one with a slide which is where the family's seemed to sit round, both were warm enough for swimming in. There were plenty of sunbeds all with thick plastic matteress so very comfortable to lounge around on. When you check in you can pay €12 and you get a ticket which you can exchange for a towel at the kiosk near the pool. The pool towels are changed a couple times a week, so find out the days and then just change them over on these days. When you leave hand in your towel and your ticket back to reception and you get your deposit back. Found this very handy as we travelled Ryanair(!!) and the luggage allowance is only 15kgs. The food at the hotel is pretty good for a AI, we are non meat eaters and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast - cold meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, all types of eggs (a omelette chef to make these to your choice) hot meats and pastries. Lunch was a buffet with plenty of salads, pastas, fish, fruit desserts. Dinner was a themed night each night again with plenty of choice rice, pasta, meats, fish, vegetables etc. There was not one thing that we ate that we didn't like. Unfortunatley it seems that AI to some people means get as much as you can on a plate and then leave it un-eaten. There was no limit to how many times you could go to the buffet - but some people just seem to like to waste food!!! There is a pool side bar that does food from 10 - 6, this is salad and chips and fish and steaks again all good if you don't want to go into the dining room. Around the pool the cold drinks, tea and coffee and beer are on a help yourself basis but if you want wine, sangaria or spirits then the staff will serve you. Around the pool the drinks are served in plastic cups. There is a bar in the reception area (the piano bar) where if you sit inside opposed to the terrace, drinks are served in glasses. The drinks are not well know brands but the measures are very generous and the 'not baileys' is really just baileys with a different label - really no need to upgrade to premium brands - unless you are a fussy drinker!!.
There was entertainment every night - we only saw the magician which was hilarious as he was such a throw back to the 70s!!!. All in all this was a lovely hotel, very clean and all staff were helpful and smiley. It was the perfect short break we were looking for. The only fault we could find is that there were only 4 lifts and these were pretty slow at meal times trying to get up and down, we searched around for the stairs for 2 days and it would be helpful if these were better sign posted. Also go for a sea/pool view room otherwise you are overlooking the building next door. If we returned we would ask for a room further from the bar area, as although the hotel shut down at midnight people tended to sit on the terrace having a sing along.

Room Tip: pool view, away from the bar/reception area

We traveled as family with 3 and 6 years old children. There are good and bad points about this hotel. Hotel is located in a gorgeous quiet place, pool areas are absolutely fantastic and clean. Kids enjoyed water slade. Reception and public areas has a wowww factor.
In the room loads of ants, they are everywhere, you cant even leave your juice open, because it will be full of ants. And biggest disapoinment for us was food, its not a big selection and not tasty ( and we are not picky at all!!!). My husband got sick the last day from it, had diarhea for a week since we back, even he had to visit a doctor in Ireland. And its definetly from the food, because we didnt eat enywhere else, were on AI basis.
We had a nice walk to Los Gigantes, its a gorgeous village with narrow streets and shops. But its up and down the hill, kids were tyred. We didnt get the pool view, but thats ok, because our room was to Los Gigantes and a bit of sea view.
Anyway, we had very good holidays. Siam park is paradise for everybody, absolutely must.

Yes the hotel is a little bit tired but everything else was fine, My wife and I travelled with our 19 year old grandson and his girlfriend, and had a brilliant time, the staff were excellent, always wiling to help, to go that extra mile and always with a smile despite having to deal with the one or two pushy, demanding and downright ignorant "guests"

The hotel is in a good location, a couple of hunded meters from the nearest beach, the entertainment was fairly good except when the animation team were let loose on their own, but hey! they are not professional and tried hard. it was great to finish an evening having a drink while the pianist went through is repetoire

The choice of food was excellent and of good quality, there never seemed to be a queue for drinks or a table in the dining room and there was always a quiet spot if you needed it, the pool was clean and well looked after with no shortage of sunbeds despite the usual early morning reservers who often show up until the afternoon.

Recommended for a good family holiday We will definately be going back but we are going to try the Be Live in Lanzarote first

Room Tip: Third floor the best

We stayed at this hotel in April 2003 with my 6 years old daughter. The hotel is huge, the receptionists are friendly, helpful. Good facilities (two pools, one baby-pool, toboggan), good animation program for kids (but separated one for french-speaking - I can´t find out why?). Very beautiful view and good location (aprx. 1 hour by bus from the south airport). But - there is no doctor in the hotel, no content of minibar (we had all inclusive, but we couldn´t have the drinks in the room ???), the food was all the same (and without any invention) and the white vine was the worst I have ever drunk. Although I have payed the all inclusive services, I had to pay internet access in the room (and it didn´t work, I complained two times, after this I gave up), safe-deposit, and white vine (domestic - from Tenerife).
