“Enjoyable week but wouldn't return”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

If you don't like high rise Hotels don't book here. 16 floors served by 4 lifts, 2 for odd number floors and 2 for even, one of the lifts was being repaired when we were there. All rooms do have a sea view. The Hotel was refurbished last year and is apparently closing on the 1st May for more work but it will still be a 70's style hotel.. The room we had was large with a large balcony but there were only 2 beds and a dressing table, no other furniture apart from the table and chairs on the balcony. The room was very clean and the bathroom looked very new. There was not a great choice of hot food (which was usually warm) and some of the dishes were very bland but edible, I was concerned that there appeared to be no checks on the food temperature as I have seen at other Fiesta Hotels. The salad bar was very good. I can understand having paper cups for drinks around the pool but at the inside bar during the day was a bit bad. During the evening ok they were glass but all small glasses no pint size ones for beer which meant more trips to the bar and also if you wanted a coffee it was in a styrene cup from a machine. I think at present it falls short of its 3 star rating. I have stayed in other Fiesta 3 stars where the food is hot, pints of beer are served and the coffee is made by the bar staff and served with a cup and saucer. The area is very quiet with a couple of Bars (Britannia Bar was good) and a few shops (not so good). The bus stops are outside the Hotel so you can escape for the day.

After an initial feeling of disappointment when entering the hotel due to the outdated and tired looking decor we quickly realised that it was great value for money. The rooms are fairly sparse but are kept immaculately clean as is the rest of the hotel. The staff are the hotel's real asset along with the buffet style restaurant - food was excellent. The salt water lido is a little gem along with the promenade along the sea front. We loved the fact that there was a real mixture of nationalities - not just Brits - as this just added to the sense of being abroad - rather than some resorts where you might as well be in the UK.My daughter and her friend (aged 13 & 14) loved the resort and a trip to Siam water park and scuba diving (available at the lido) made the holiday particularly memorable. Just one word of advice - this is not a great hotel if you have difficulty walking as there are steps everywhere.

Just back from Tenerife and stayed in the Paraiso Floral, you can simply not fault the food as it was beautiful, we were all inclusive and each meal time the food was varied and catered for everyone. People who find fault here will NEVER be pleased. The hotel also offered free use of the lido which was beautiful too although the all inclusive drinks did not extend here, however at on £1.30 for a beer this did not pose a problem for us. My only criticisim of the hotel would be the dated rooms, in my opinion if this hotel recieved a make over to a good standard it would easily become a five star property.

The resort itself is also worth a mention particualry the 3 bars next door and a special mention to the slug and lettuce which offered a great night out at very cheap prices.

I also suggest you look at Cozy Cafe in nearby Las Americas as the sunday roast and deserts offered were fantastic and the hospitality offered by the owner Dave was brilliant

Well worth the trip and money paid

Just back from this hotel last week my first impression was not good as the corridors were very dark with no decorations the room was Spartan to say the least although it was a good size with a stunning view over the ocean. usual shower , bath, small tv (only turned on once for about 3 minutes) We arrived at around 5 in the afternoon I went straight down to the bar for a drink and was immediately informed that only two drinks per customer were allowed.
My family consisting of my wife , daughter , son and granddaughter came down and we went for dinner, good variety of local food fresh and hot , the restaurant was spacious and clean and the staff were very polite and helpful.
The next day we went to the pool area no problems getting sun beds and brollies small bar area open for drinks and snacks all day. Below the hotel is a massive sea water pool with a bar restaurant and plenty of sunbed space , we opted for this for a couple of days as the hotel became very full over the weekend and we all know how LOUD Spanish people talk. The entertainment at night consisted of the usual kids club and a good variety of acts ranging from karaoke to magician shows. All in all the holiday was good the hotel although aging with woodchip on the walls provided everything we needed the staff especially were very attentive and helpful. I would go back to this hotel.

After the year we've had in the UK we really needed a bit of sunshine. The rooms are very basic, but very clean and well managed. The very friendly staff were a big asset. I think the food would become a bit tedious if staying more than a week. Our last two days were the start of the Easter holidays and the number of children increased dramatically. As did the noise!! We didn't experience the usual drunken element of an all inclusive hotel. Which made a nice change. DO NOT pay for the hotel Wi-Fi speed as measured on my iPad was 0.25 Mbps it took an hour and my paper still didn't download. There's a little bar up the road on the right named the Slug and Lettuce, where if you buy a small coffee you can download your paper at about 5.5 Mbps. Buses are fairly regular and easy to negotiate the 472 goes to Costa Adeje, Los Christianos and Playa de las. Americas? If you don't expect anything too luxurious you'll have a good week. We were a bit unhappy that because of a delayed flight we arrived just after 9pm. There was no food available in the hotel. We did complain to Thomsons... Don't hold your breath. Have a good break!

Room Tip: Sun is on the lido side a.m. and doesn't reach the other side until late afternoon. We were on f...

If you want 5* in the heart of Costa Adeje then you need to pay at least twice the price so be realistic. We paid under £1000 for 2 adults and a 3 year old, booking flights with Thomson and booking the hotel and transfers separately with On the Beach. The transfers were quick and on time (early on the departure so we beat the queues) and the hotel checked us in swiftly and gave us a low floor room as requested by email before we arrived. (my husband is not keen on heights so floor 7 was high enough). As others mention, the views are lovely and we had a sea view, large balcony and lots of sunshine in the afternoon which was ideal for me as my husband and our child could snooze while I sunbathed.

The pool was extremely cold and we had the spanish descend on Easter weekend so you couldn't even get a sunbed (before and after they came sunbeds were plentiful all day long) so we preferred the lido, which may be cold at first but is lovely and refreshing and you acclimatise to it unlike the pool.

I have been to its sister hotel, around 10 years ago, and I admit the decor is the same so yes it could do with an update. However, it is exceptionally clean and the staff work hard in the restaurants and bars to maintain it. Bedding and towels were clean and room cleaned, beds made daily.

The food was an excellent 3* standard with plenty of choice. Huge selection and my husband was thrilled with the variety of meat. I don't eat meat and I had a different meal every night! Yes it could be repetitive if there for 2 weeks but for one week it was excellent and we also felt we paid very little for the hotel that we could eat out which we did twice in Costa Adeje.(vast amount of restaurant choices - we enjoyed the Fun Bar First and Last Stop by the beach (for lunch) where we could enjoy a pannini and my husband could watch the football) and we had a lovely evening meal overlooking the sea in a restaurant (can't remember its name).

Location: This as a bad review drives me mad. It is quite clearly in Playa Paraiso and this should be something you look at before booking. But it really isn't a problem. You have the best of both worlds, nice quiet resort with the option of stepping out the door and across the road to get the 472 bus into any of the resorts. 10 mins on the bus and you are in walking distance of Playa Fanabe beach. The bus was 2 euros each but the taxi we got once was 15 euros one way.

If you want to do excursions book with Gift Excursions which are in Costa Adeje, if you come off the bus at Fanabe and walk down to the beach they are located just off the promenade. They were extremely helpful and by far the cheapest around. We did Loro Parque with bus to and from hotel, this is well worth the journey even just for the shows, and we did the Eden Catamaran where we saw whales and dolphins, a truly lovely experience.

Entertainment: Kids team work so hard and our daughter loved them and the mini disco. The evening entertainment wasn't brilliant but its what you make it, and the guests were so friendly you could chat to others around you - or go into town.

This holiday was a last minute break from the dreadful weather but we had one of our best holidays. I wrote a damning review about Cay Beach Villas in Fuerteventura a few years ago (so I'm not the easiest to please) who had modernised the hotel but it was dirty and the food was horrendous..This hotel is the exact opposite. I'd rather have good, plentiful food and a clean, friendly, value for money hotel than modern decor! If the price is right - book it!
