We had a fantastic week at the Sirenis Aura early September and dispite the reviews to the contrary found the mix of clientele refreshing rather than being in a typical all British holiday resort. We travelled as a family and all had a great time, the entertainment was enough to keep my daughter interested without feeling you were in a butlins and most evenings there was anditional surprise for the kids in the form of a visitor with wildlife (over the week my daughter met snakes, lizards, parrots hawks and an Owl!). The food in the buffet restaurant was of a high standard and varied and the hotel put on a great local cuisine evening along with a chocolate fountain loved by both the kids and adult alike.
The rooms were far more spacious than most having it seems once been self catering apptments and were kept extremely clean, our in the white block had an amazing sea view.
The pools were great with 3 interlinked and a separate baby pool, my only critisism was the jobs worth life guard stopping inflatables being taken into an empty pool (a good dose of common sense please), the interconnected water park is fabulous.
The hotel offers a day pass for around £35 which was great as it allowed friends also on the island to join us and take advantage of all the facilities and the all inclusive bar and restaurant.
The hotel is refreshingly far enough away from San An to keep "Ibiza" at bay but close enough if you want the nightlife. If you are out and about around the island hire your car from the village and save around 60% of the cost compared to the hotels provider.
In all a great holiday my only gripe is the hotel has changed tour operators to Thompson for the 2013 so you can guarantee the entertainment will be shocking and if previous experience follows the standard of traveller will decline leaving the hotel full of beer swilling hoodlums.
I will happily return once the mistake is rectified and Thomas Cook are returned
