“Exempt value for money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

Booked this hotel at the very last minute and couldn't be happier! It was excellent value for money, more than I could have imagined. Food was of a good standard for all inclusive especially in spain. Drinks were good if not a little too strong! Water constant. Service on arrival was perfect, even at 2am they had a plate of food waiting for us! Rooms were small but immaculate, although maid service was a little pushy at times. Not much pool atmosphere but this didnt bother us too much. Decent pools and comfy beds. Bus stop 3 minute walk away and easy access into San Antonio night and morning. Beach wasn't all that and the 'town' very quiet but 10 mins from San An. Would readily recommend it!

Ignore the negative reviews. Great place for families (we have 2 kids 12 & 8). Family room overlooking the pool was big enough as hardly spent any time in it. Staff were excellent, entertainment particularly for the kids was very good and food varied and plentiful. Holiday enjoyed by the whole family!!

Literally just returned from staying at the Barcelo Pueblo today. Myself and my boyfriend decided to book at the very last minute to have a 6 night break and we liked the look and reasonable price of the Barcelo online and we were not disappointed in the slightest.

Upon arrival there was someone there to take us straight through to our room and we were pleasantly surprised with how clean and spacious the room was (it was a standard room). The beds were really comfy with nice pillows, the wardrobes are big with sliding doors, so plenty of storage for our clothes and beachwear, the bathroom was sparkling clean and the maids came every day to tidy up and leave fresh towels. We were ground floor and our balcony overlooked the Barcelo Sports Centre in the grounds, which was nice and had lots of activities for both adults and children.

In the main grounds there were 2 decent sized swimming pools that were clean and the water was cold and refreshing. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Apparently there is also a sports bar area that will be open in the summer months but we didn't get to see this as it was May when we visited so it wasn't opened just yet (I think it opens in from June onwards)

The all inclusive restaurant is great. It has a large selection of a variety of foods such as cooked breakfasts, cereals, fruits, salads, pastas, freshly grilled fish and meats, paella, desserts and also a decent selection of drinks. The restaurant opens at 7am for breakfast then closes at approx 10am to prepare for lunch. Lunch begins at 1pm and finishes at 3pm. then for dinner it re opens at 7pm until 9.30pm. The bar is open until around 11.30pm.

There is entertainment on and off throughout the day and evening which was fun for children and the older crowds but we are more into our clubbing, so we tended to venture out to find our own fun.

There is a cyber corner in the reception area of the hotel, but the wifi is not very strong and it is always very slow and at times you can't connect at all. It is wise to wander to one of the other bars or beach huts down the road if you wish to use wifi on your devices. You cannot pick up wifi in any of the rooms.

There is a beach just 350metres from the hotel. Just turn right when you come out of the hotel and walk straight down the road until you get to it. It is a beautiful little beach with clear waters. Just beware of the jelly fish that sometimes wash up at certain times of the year. The life guards will be able to let you know if the waters are safe, so just ask if you are unsure. There are really nice beach bars/restaurants on the beach and along the road that the Barcelo Pueblo is on, so these are worth checking out also.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay and haven't got anything negative to say about the hotel in general. The only other thing to mention really is that if you are going to Ibiza for a mad clubbing holiday and want to be in the middle of everything, this is not your ideal location as it is a fair walk/bus/cab journey to anywhere that has a lot of life. But if you want to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing that is a 10 minute cab journey away from San Antonio & San Jose. Or 20 minute cab journey from the Airport/Ibiza Town/Playa Den Bossa, then this is the perfect location for you.

Hope you all have an equally as enjoyable visit as we did!

Happy holidays

Just returned from this hotel with my husband . Arrived too late for food on first day but enjoyed Pizza across the road . Rooms a decent size and very comfy bed but unfortunately our balcony saw no sun.
Any amount of food available, snacks when restaurant closed through day time-including tea/coffee , water , Ice cream ,toasties , chips, hot dogs and burgers.
Kids club 2x daily not required by us/entertainment staff worked hard. All staff very friendly and hard working.
We didn't move far from hotel but locally there are a few shops/restaurants. Bus stop at hotel door . Short walk to lovely sandy beach. Would certainly consider a return visit

Room Tip: side rooms have little sun on balconies /rooms overlooking main pool good fore afternoon sun

Came to this hotel 2 years ago and returned this week for a 4 day holiday and it was as good as before. Lots of variety of food for both children and adults the entertainment is good for the children in the evenings and plenty to do in the day time. The rooms are basic but spotless and staff very friendly. Will return again.

A very late review. Stayed here twice last summer. Once with friends the other with family.
On both occasions we all had a wonderful time. The hotel is spotless, all the staff a very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but very clean. The food and drink are excellent for the price paid. Plenty of choice for both food and drink. Snack bar available all day. Three swimming pools plenty of sunbeds. Although people are putting towels on beds at the main pool very early you can still manage to find a bed at one of the other pools.A fantastic hotel thats well worth the money.

My boyfriend and I stayed here very recently because we were over in Ibiza for a friends wedding and this was the closest hotel to the venue.

The best that can be said for it is that it was cheap.. Thankfully! We didn't do the all inclusive deal just bed and breakfast and we paid £45 a night through booking.com. We turned up at 1pm and the room wasn't ready. In fact, I don't think they even had our booking. When I handed over my printout they checked their list and after a few minutes and a lot of frantic chattering between a couple of the staff in Spanish we were told it was "ok". Guess we were lucky it was early in the season and it wasn't fully booked otherwise I think we could of had a problem.

When we finally got to our room a couple of hours later (after a few cocktails in coco loco bar on the beach... Well worth a visit by the way) we got shown to our tiny, ground floor room. Basic only just about covers it. No hair dryer, kettle, toiletries, anything. Only one bedsheet each. No blankets (it's still cold at night in Ibiza in May).

The one good thing about the room was the shower. Easy to use and very nice and powerful. However, being on the ground floor you would expect that the patio doors would have a net curtain (or something similar) but no.... Just a heavy blackout curtain. This meant we either had to have the room in darkness or have the curtains open for all to see into the room. The beds are not comfy and the pillows are awful. No such thing as a double bed in this place. The walls are very thin and you could hear everything.. And I mean everything! The couple in the room next to us we're obviously very much in love (if you know what I mean), and we heard most of it!

We didn't eat there once during the week. To be honest, looking at the standard of the hotel we didn't think the food would be up to much. We just went to the restaurant across the round and had brekkie for 5 euros.

The area is actually fine as a base. We had a car (struggled to park by the hotel a few times as they have no parking) and it was nice and easy to go where we wanted. Highly recommend Cala Bassa beach, but don't get conned by the actual beach club. Go to the end where the other cafe is. Much, much cheaper (9 euros for a sunbed vs 15 euros!).

Also recommend both the Magcon restaurant and the Old Cock. Both a stones throw from the hotel and the good was quite simply out of this world!

This was our third time in Ibiza after staying in playa den bossa the other times. Would I stay in port des torrent again? Maybe, if we had a car. Would I stay in Barcelo again? Definately, emphatically, NO!

I would recommend spending a bit more money and find yourself a higher standard hotel.
