“Can't wait to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I just cannot fault this hotel. Very spacious, beautiful grounds - a mass of colour, fine rooms and even the plumbing works, food is superb and plentiful, staff are friendly and helpful. The whole place is immaculate, the five swimming pools are spotless, and if you hire a car the roads are excellent and there is very little traffic! I would strongly recommend that you go all inclusive: it's really worth it.

However, if you have walking difficulties, although there are plenty of lifts it is difficult to avoid steps, the hotel being built on sloping ground; and the hotel is not only large but spread out.

If you are unlucky and need medical assistance, as my wife did, the medical services are absolutely first class, with English speaking GPs.

Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing our hotel and for taking your time to write this nice review about it.

We are very happy to hear that you have liked everything about your vacation here and that you don’t have any complaints. Indeed the best option for the stay in hotel Costa Calero is the All Inclusive.

We would like to mention that the hotel premises are totally equipped with wheelchair access facilities, there are ramps and elevators everywhere. Our guests with mobility difficulties should able to move around the whole property without a problem.

Once again, we appreciate your gesture to leave your opinion here!

On behalf of all the staff,

Sunny greetings from Lanzarote to Hampshire, and we cannot wait to have you back here either!!!

Just back from a weeks break with friends, this is the second time we've been at the hotel and we weren't disapointed, great selection of food (we were all inclusive) at all meals with the staff in both the resturant and bar very attentive.

Rooms were good with decent views (top foor is best)

The hotel is pretty quiet with the majority of guests being elderly, although saying that there was a fair minority of families with young children, not sure its a hotel for teenagers though.

All in all a good break in the sun

Second visit to this hotel. Booked for our 30th wedding anniversay and on arrival we received a bottle of champagne on ice in our room.

The rooms are spacious and well kept. All staff very friendly and polite.

Food lovely and plentiful. Branded drinks and mixers.

spacious venue at night for entertainment and waiter service .

Beautiful marina/harbour for a nice stroll and some pubs for a nice relaxing drink to watch the
world go by.

Will definately return.

We booked this Hotel to celebrate our Silver Wedding on 4th March, also taking in my birthday 2 days later .What can I say? First of all to anyone who faults this Hotel I really don't know how you can .We have been on many all inclusive holidays all over but this beats them all!!
From the food to the staff,to the cleanliness of the place to the friendliness, not forgetting to mention the most beautiful location, for a peaceful relaxing holiday. On our anniversary we returned to our room to find a lovely bottle of champagne on ice and basket of fresh fruit with a compliments card for our Silver Wedding. What a wonderful surprise. 2 days later it was my birthday and another bottle of champagne on ice appeared in our room. Was such a nice gesture from the Hotel, complete strangers making an occasion feel so special for us. All this aside this hotel has everything for a laid back relaxing holiday and this is just what we wanted. The food and choice of food was amazing ,at all meals.Anyone who says the food was cold must have wandered around too long with their plates!!The live cooking and the politeness and efficiency of the staff was fantastic. The entertainment team and venue was very good both during the day and in the evening. I could go on for ever but I feel this hotel deserves much better reviews than some people are giving. We stayed on the ground floor with a garden view and it was lovely. All I can say is if you are looking at this Hotel, just go and book it !! I don't think you will regret it. Thanks again to everyone at Hotel Costa Calero for an amazing holiday.Would definately book again for a winter holiday

Dear guest,

Thank you for this awesome review! We are honoured to know that you have chosen our hotel for such special occasions as your silver wedding and your birthday and we are very glad to have succeeded in making them an unforgettable experience for you.

So lovely to hear that you find Costa Calero to be the best All inclusive hotel you have ever stayed in. We appreciate your sense of humour and spirited remarks. And, as a matter of fact, we do not worry about the critiques we get from few of our guests, they only stimulate us to improve our service and to aim to perfection.

We are really looking forward to your next visit here for a relaxing wintertime get-away in our paradise island. We promise that it will be even better than the previous one!!!

Sunny regards from Lanzarote!

Returned home yesterday after two weeks at the Hotel Costa Calero, Lanzarote. Full marks to Jet2 for getting us back exactly on time to Leeds Bradford airport which had been closed due to the horrendous freak March weather.
This was our second visit to this hotel. The weather was excellent just a couple of dull breezy days. OK, apart from the Marina there is not much else there, a few resturants and bars and a twice weekly market, but this setting is definitely upmarket. The views are fantastic and there are some nice walks along the coast, also there is the complimentary shuttle to nearby Puerto del Carmen three times a day.We had a nice room (279) overlooking the pools and sea. We were all inclusive and the food was very good. There was a choice of virtually every cut of meat and fish.
As usual with Spanish hotels there was not as much veg as I would have liked but the choice in the salads made up for that.
The entertainment was very good for a hotel. The team worked very hard and put on some good shows. We watched them every night. The theatre is roomy, well lit and has comfortable seats. The drinks are exellent, branded spirits,ie Jack Daniels, Bells, Gordons, Smirnoff and others. What more can you want? Good measures poured from the bottle not optic measures.
The swimming pools are well maintained and very clean, plenty of sun beds even though the hotel was almost full. I did not hear one complaint from anbody which is unusual.
One attractive feature for us was that you can now use your computer tablet in your room and get a signal free of charge. Ideal for emails to family and checking weather and flights.
All age groups go there and as senior citizens we didn't feel out of place. The staff in all departments are pleasant and hard working. Nothing is too much trouble.
If we find a place we like we'll go again and hopefully we will be returning next March. Not the cheapest of hotels but if you shop around you will get a good deal. Craig and Carol, Dewsbury.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with pool and sea view. This is not a high rise hotel and anything above 1st fl...

Dear guest,

We are very happy to hear that you have stayed at Hotel Costa Calero for the second time. It is always a great pleasure to welcome repetitive guests as you and to exceed their expectations.

Thank you very much for the detail to take your time and write this extensive and interesting review about your vacations here.

As you have seen for yourself, we are constantly updating the hotel facilities and improving our service. Recently we had our restaurant and Piano bar tapestry changed, new chairs for the lovely outdoor restaurant Oyambre were put. We offer free WiFi on the hotel premises. Also, we already have our salt-water pool La Salina climatized to a pleasant temperature suitable for those who would like to train or just to do a few lengths for fun.

So nice to hear that you practically liked everything about the hotel and that you don’t have any complaints at all!

On behalf of all the staff, we are looking forward to your next visit here next March, or why not sooner? We promise you that it is going to be even better than your previous stays and it will be “simply the best”!

Sunny greetings from Lanzarote to West Yorkshire!

This hotel just keeps getting better and better. This is my 10th visit to this hotel and it is superb. The food is excellent and the service is excellent.

the bars have a great range of brand drinks as is the wine list in the dining room.

Staff are very good and obliging.

Saga guests make up the majority of those staying at this time of the year so its not for those who are looking to party late into the night but if you are looking for a good quality hotel to relax in this is for you

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view are best
