You can walk up from the ferry port in less than 10 minutes, its 45 mins in a cab from chake chake airport.
Email & phone comms dodgy on the island but they will reply when they can and confirmed my booking admirably by email.
Room is clean, mozzie proof and a decent size with a veranda and view. No a/c but not needed. Fan was fine.
Hot showers when you need them.
Good day trip to the snorkelling island $45 pp ($ iwas on my own so $60)
The little prop jet cessnas run by coastal aviation are great for aerial photography.
But the beach is a few kms away so you need a lift or a hike, but lovely & quiet compared to the main island Unguja (I think!).
And great value at $35 B&B in my mind.
