“Well deserving of its Michelin star”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We had lunch in this beautiful setting surrounded by vineyards. The food was exceptional, service impeccable, and the wine selection outstanding. Every course was delicious. Enjoy this setting and delight in the white burgundies.

“Good, but not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Visited for dinner after local recommendation. The food was good, my wife loved her soup starter and my snails were nice but unremarkable. The fish course was fantastic - best part of the meal, which was just as well as the main of beef which itself was a delicious filet but the sauce was rather bland. The desert of rhubarb was again disappointing.
Good selection of wines and service is attentive. However, overall I have to say there are better Michellin starred places with more exciting food in the area for the same price or less.

“Good value and delicious fixed-price dinner at Le Montrachet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The cheapest fixed price dinner is Euro57 per person, but the the food puts any London restaurant into the shade, ranging from the 'amuse-bouches' brought while you are deciding what you will eat to the small items brought between courses. The cheese trolley looks like an old wickerwork pram and has an enormous choice. Service is attentive and not obtrusive, but could be improved by assigning one waiter to a table, rather than having different waiters delivering different things or collecting each course. since it is possible to feel overlooked sometimes; there is certainly plenty of time to people-watch. Table-positioning is spacious, which adds a degree of isolation to the atmosphere as well. Tables were decorated with tiny cacti in pots, rather a strange touch.

“Excellent but don't forget your credit card...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

Hired bikes to cycle the wine tour and this place was recommended by the guy at the bike hire shop in Beaune. It was certainly worth the cycle. Had lunch on the terrace and the food was simply excellent. Service was also very good if not a little formal. That said we arrived in our cycling gear and were made to feel very welcome. Wine list was very extensive and the wine waiter was very good. The only problem was the price. The lunch was not cheap but was excellent and worth every penny. We ate from the a lacarte menu (excellent) but the set menu also looked very good.
