Hotel nice but room a bit on the small side. Fantastic seaview.
Food ok (excluding the salad leaves which had definitely been oversprayed with some chemical every single day of our holiday)?
Entertainment not great but Drifters were fab.
We had already booked ‘all inclusive’ however upon arrival we were forced to upgrade to the ‘super all inclusive’ to avoid drinking the METHS which they call house white wine! This wine was absolutely revolting on the all inclusive. Very disappointed and the first I’ve experienced with an all inclusive 3* hotel.
The ‘super all inclusive’ offers a different type wine (slightly better so don’t get too excited) but nevermind I was happy to pay extra for this treat - only to be told that I could only drink this wine in the restaurant and was unable to drink it from behind the bar??????? So not only was I willing to upgrade from ‘all inclusive’ to the ‘super all inclusive’. I was informed I was not allowed to drink this when I so wished???
Yes I understand the ‘super all inclusive’ also includes international named spirits etc but I don’t drink spirits and neither does my husband. All I wanted was a nice glass of white wine but this seemed an impossible task to achieve. The 2 guys on reception tried their hardest to resolve this problem but it appeared the BAR MANAGER was not willing.
Message to the Bar Manager. Please cheer up, people are on holiday and seeing your miserable face everyday has quite literally put us off from ever returning to this hotel. During our 11day stay you never once smiled and quite frankly myself, my husband along with our party of 8 people shared the same opinion. Also your staff are not happy as they only ever smile when you are not around and I can’t understand that. Either you have a ‘no smiling’ policy which your staff must obey in your presence? How did you get the job? We gave you the benefit of the doubt and just thought you were having an off day (as people do) but for the full duration of our holiday (11days) you looked so miserable and walked around staring at guests making them feel uneasy. If you must stare then follow this up with a smile.
Message to white wine drinkers. Give up! Avoid the METHS house white and select a bottle from the menu – around 12euro. This is not included on ‘all inclusive’ or even ‘super all inclusive’. Good news for the red wine drinkers as their house red is rather nice.
Message to the masseuse: Best massage I have ever had. Young blonde girl from Surrey, sorry I didn’t catch your name but massage was fantastic.
2 young girls in the restaurant were the only members of staff who did smile, along with the 2 guys on reception (bald guy and the not so bald guy) sorry didn’t get your names. Apart from that – all other staff just clearly don’t enjoy their jobs and found it impossible to just SMILE now and again. You expect the odd miserable member of staff but not the entire team?
We had a wonderful holiday and met some great people. Shame about the miserable staff and having to pay for wine, despite upgrading twice.
