Spent 5 days 4 nights at this hotel. Great location if you are looking for peace and quiet, not much around so not really for young people looking for fun and adventure.
Hotel is very glam at first glance but lacks that small touch to make it perfect; refurbishing of certain areas (lounge looks great but seating area furniture is a bit worn out, lamps everywhere but they do not work....etc).
Food is very good, buffet style but enough variety and even gluten free upon request).
Pool area should be renovated, seatings and deck are totally worn out.
But the staff: outside the Tenerife people are not exactly friendly, but inside the hotel they were absolutely GREAT!!!!!

Room Tip: Room 501: big room with seating area and jacuzzi; enormous terrace

Hotel foyer nice, rooms are very nice kept nice and clean, linen changed often by friendly staff. Views from our balcony were stunning. The staff overall were very friendly, but one of our friends did question the bar manager why she was being served in a plastic cup and the man in front of her was being served his drink in a glass and he rudely pointed to her AI wristband, hey we have also paid for our drinks! Yes we can understand that it is plastic around the pool but even when you are in your evening gear and sitting it is plastic until 18.30 oh and some nights it went back to plastic at 22.30, who wants to drink wine in plastic tumblers!
Back to the staff, they work very hard, are very understaffed, on our last morning there was just one girl waiting breakfast, filling things up, clearing and setting tables, she was doing her best but it is never right for the amount of people, no juice, no glasses, people waiting about for milk and water For coffee. The bar area is exactly the same, only one staff member doing everything, coffees, snacks, clearing up, drinks not enough at busy times!!
Now the food, it was mostly bland, Luke warm and you had no idea what you was eating because none of it was labled, we were AI but ate out six out of ten nights and we are not fussy eaters.
pool area could be really nice, comfy sun beds, but the decking needs replacing or revamping, filler shoved into rotting wood around pool.
As you can guess I will not be returning to this hotel, never a 4 star would be pushing it to be a 3

We wanted a smaller hotel in a quiet area with decent parking for a reasonable price. This hotel offers exactly that, although it can use some TLC as mentioned in lots of other reviews. The rooms are okay, the beds a bit firm and out TV set needed a small encouraging tap on the shoulder to set the picture straight, but ok. The toilet only worked half (big flush was broken, small flush worked) but I didn't bother to report this (staff, room 616). The main problem of this hotel is twofold: it would be much better with some tender loving care: small thinks like fixing some blathered paint and expanding the selection at breakfast. Again, it was not bad but it can be so much better with a little bit of extra attention. The other main problem is something the hotel can't fix: the noise of the airport. People who say you can't hear the planes must be deaf. Starting or landing planes during daytime are annoying but during nighttime they really wake you. It sounded like they pass the hotel at 10 meters. One night I even dreamed of a plane crash in my backyard, most likely due to the noise. I seems the planes keep flying until 02:30 in the night and start again at 07:00 in the morning. If this doesn't bother you and you are a firm sleeper, looking for a non 'party' hotel with kids running around: this place is ok. I has lots of restaurants and a supermarket across the street and has plenty of free parking space for your rental car (be aware that MANY hotels claim the same but in fact it's nearly to impossible to find parking spots in the cities of the playas, check before you book!). Also, the rooms offer a stunning view over the ocean. But the noise of the planes would prevent me from coming back here...

We would also like to mention that in those cases where a guest informs us that, in spite of our continues review and maintenance work, the room has soon problem, our staff will proceed to take care of as soon as possible any problems or damage and, if necessary and hotel´s occupation allows it, offer the guest a change of room, trying at all times to make sure their stay is pleasant and enjoyable.
Lastly we would like to state that although we are located 5km from the Tenerife Sur airport, it is not usual for planes to pass above our establishment and cause noise, so we apologize if during your stay there were different circumstances.

I booked the superior room, which is a bit larger and contains a sofa instead of two seats. Note that not all rooms have a balcony, but luckily I was given a room with one.

Overall, the hotel is average compared with other hotels (in different countries) which I have visited. The basics are okay; the bed is clean and nice, the water is warm, the room is tidy, you can get a healthy breakfast, the safety box works fine, there is a tv and the room has got enough storage space.

When it comes to details Vincci Golf Tenerife fails quite a bit. They issues won't ruin your holiday, but if met they would certainly improve your experience.

The main issue is the state of the hotel. It really could use some maintenance. To start with, the paint of the walls begins to peel off. Not horrible, but it makes your balcony looking a bit dirty. Our toilet couldn't flush properly, and it was a whole workout in itself to open the door to our balcony. The shower's design is flawed unless you're a midget (could not go high enough to stand under it) and shower couldn't be fixed. Water was easily spilled outside of the bad, turning the room into a private swimming pool. The wood around the pool can really use some oiling, and speaking of the pool; it could use some more plants. Some of the planters didn't have a plant in it, some even contained rubbish - maybe someone was hoping for his beer can to sprout. Overall, expect no palms only some small cacti.

The staff was ok, but don't expect service with a smile. Breakfast was clean, no seating but when things run out they were promptly replenished. However, the choice was quite limited, especially the meats for on your bread (only ham and one type of dry sausage) and there was only one type of cheese. No local products. And no labels giving information, so it's making educated guesses about what it will be.

I only booked breakfast; you can go for all inclusive with this hotel but I will certainly not recommend that. From what I experienced and what I've heard the food is as boring as breakfast, every day the same and I cannot imagine someone not leaving this hotel and still having a great time. There are lovely restaurants on walking distance (recommend the steak house and next to it "Tapas"!).

Overall; the hotel is average, but I can still recommend this hotel however I would urge you to also look for alternatives and decide what's best for you. If you only want to sleep and have a quick shower, this hotel is fine yet a bit too expensive for what you get. And I really cannot see why I need to pay for wifi access (only in the lobby); it is 2012!

And here's a tip we received from a fellow hotel guest: if your tv is not giving prober image, just slam it. It already helped us several times ;-)

This hotel is in a lovely location, it's quiet and friendly with lovely staff. The room we stayed in was on the 7th floor with an amazing view over the sea and the pool. Do not bother with the gym, it is hot with poor equipment.
This was a lazy holiday for us, and the hotel is ideal for this. I would not recommend it for children as there is very little for them to do and the entertainment programme is very limited.
The food did let this hotel down, it was bland and boring. After the third night we ate out, for both lunch and dinner. A short walk from the hotel there are a number of bars and restaurants serving lovely food and great cocktails. The the WOO WOO cocktail at the Emerald Bar.
The hotel does need a bit of attention but it was nice enough for what we paid. I would return but not on an all inclusive.

Room Tip: Our room on the 7th floor, most appear to have a sea view

Just returned home from a weeks stay at the Vincci 16 - 23 october and have got to say I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. From the very start when we arrived at check-in one of the members behind reception was most unwelcoming, unhelpful, and rude. (Not Reuben he was fantastic). But one has to be fair and talk about the few positives there were. We booked a superior double which i have to say was a very nice suite, cleaned to a good standard and with a nice view of the ocean, los abrigos and the el modano nature reserve rock. Also, unlike most hotels, there was always free sunbeds no matter what time you arrived at the pool. The transfer from the airport is also very short, around 15 minutes. However, there are far more negatives issues with this hotel. Firstly they sell the hotel on photos that are undoubtebly 5 years old and a lot of the hotel was not up to what one would expect from the Vincci brand. The pool area was delapidated and was a real hazard. It's all very well using decking around the pool area but it has to be maintained! The wood was full of gaps, very easy to get your feet caught in, and a number of guests caught themselves on the decking needing minor first aid attention. Round the actual pool the wood was so rotten that bits of wood are completley loose and make it quite unstable for walking round. The bar area was unmaned a lot of the time and only had around 8 tables for a hotel of over 140 people, so often no where to sit in the evenings. The entire hotel was understaffed, especially at meal times. There was never more than 2 people dealing with an entire dining hall and working extremley hard to serve everyone with drinks, clearing tables and relaying tables, they really did try in there. The food in the hall was not great, not hot, and very little variety from day to day. Even though we were all inclusive we ventured out for dinners just for a change. A real bug bear for us was that it was inpossible to get any form of drink, even water, between 10 a.m and 11 a.m. I have checked and no where in the all inclusive scheme does it suggest that there is a cut off between this period. Everyday we'd go up to the supermarket and purchase drinks in this time. If you like an early night this is also the place for you as the bar stops serving at 11 p.m and you cannot have a drink after, even if you want to pay for it. Overall really liked the area but would not recomend this hotel. I wish i had paid a little extra and gone to the neighbouring hotel San Blas which really did look like something special.

Having just arrived back from our stay I must say I really enjoyed our stay at Vincci Golf. Having read the negative reviews before we went I must say I was a bit concerned and to be fair some of the points raised are justified. Yes it needs a lick of paint and around the pool needs repainting and the edge around the pool replacing but it didn't affect our holiday in any way.

We stayed on B and B basis and we did notice that the vast majority of people staying were fully inclusive which I can understand the frustrations from previous visitors as there is only one restaurant and i really would not be eating in the same restaurant night after night but then you would know this before you travel. The food for breakfast was lovely. More than you could wish for. The staff are very friendly and we found our room to be perfect. We had fantastic views across the sea and the sunset at night from the hotel is amazing.

It would take very little to make this hotel 5 star. So come on Vincci bring me over for a week as I have some great ideas for you :-)

Nearby you have the village of Los Abrigos which is a lovely un molested port. The restaurants in the port are to die for - Los Abrigos Restaurant, Roqes Restaurant to name a few

Would I go back. Yes. Because it gave us everything we wanted - good hotel, great location for peace and quiet, perfect location for getting to Tiede, the north of the island which is beautiful, Los Cristianos port which has beautiful restaurants especially the Lebanese restaurant.

Room Tip: The sea facing with a balcony is a must. We stayed in room 412.
