My boyfriend and I stayed at the Vincci Golf for 8 nights at the end of September. We booked via Teletext holidays which proved to be stress free and uncomplicated - would definitely recommend!
The hotel was listed on Teletext as a 4* resort and I think that's a fair rating for the accommodation however some of the hotel facilities/food do not meet the 4* expectation. However all in all we had a great stay here, extremely relaxing and enjoyed the hot weather!
Rooms cleaned promptly every day
Supermarket close by for essentials - we were B&B and went here for lunch supplies every day - fresh bread daily! We stored our own essentials in the mini fridge in the room (just took out mini bar items and left them on the side)
Excellent shower - nice and powerful! Fresh towels every day and shampoo and shower gel was always replaced
Hotel is a short 15 mins from airport - transfer was very efficient
There is a €10 Towel deposit per person, however this was not a problem and we were never asked for this during our stay
Top sun deck nice and quiet but less breeze - beds were a nice touch
September was a good time of year to go, still hot (30 degrees) but nice breeze and great evening temp
15 min walk to Los Cristianos along the coast however some of the way was very rocky and incomplete (avoid heels!)- tried 2 restaurants here one Spanish with excellent paella (to left of Teppenyaki) and Teppanyaki - excellent fried icecream for dessert!
10 min walk to Los Abrigos (easier walk - still no heels) with a great selection of restaurants
Placeres - 10/10 amazing food with excellent presentation, couldn't fault it. Not cheap but worth the price!
La Scarpetta- Great Italian food, excellent value and great service. Would recommend the seafood spaghetti which had more seafood than you could imagine! "Ron Jeremy" was a delight!!
Great new Argentinian meat restaurant in the square (can't remember the name) but we shared a meat platter for €26 and it was more than enough with a variety of meats and came with the most delicious Argentinian sauce
Hatties - Great little coffee shop opposite the hotel which served an amazing cuppa (tea from the hotel left much to be desired) and fresh smoothies with a fab selection of homemade cakes - YUM
Safe didn't work (noticed a few other reviews have also mentioned this)
Expensive water/beverages if not on all inclusive - 33cl bottle of water from hotel was €4.50 compared to 30 cents in local shop!! Extortionate!!
Hot water for tea and coffee not hot enough - served in urns that were refilled every so often with boiling water but it didn't remain hot for long
Wouldn't recommend all inclusive as heard selection of food wasn't great (we went and looked at lunch most days and the food seemed to be similar most days, didn't look at dinners though)
Loud music by pool throughout day and majority of sunbeds had towels on them by 8am which mean we had to wake up early every day to secure a spot
Breakfast was buffet style every day which was more than adequate but would have been nice to have the choice of fresh eggs served how you prefer. Juices were very watered down/not fresh so stuck with water for the week!
