3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Hi me, my partner and son have just come back from here this Hotel is more a 3 star than a 4 star , the place in general is nice ( décor in luggage room was untidy n dirty) The All inclusive wasn't great either you had breakfast 7.30 till 9.30 then no other food or snacks were available then till 1.30pm which I found disgusting when I have a young child , same applied with lunch there was no other food from 3.30 till 6.30pm. The food was very repetitive every day/night, We arrived at the hotel 12'o clock midnight weren't offered any food or drinks then got told our names weren't on the list we were in the apartments it was only until I had her checking it properly she found our names. I also wasn't impressed that they didn't have a good selection of local spirits. I personally wouldn't go back to this hotel unless there was changes.

Room Tip: sea view rooms are better , with less noise.

We arrived at the hotel at on the 8th of Oct at 2.20pm and had a sea view room that was booked (what they don't tell you is that your looking at the sea over another hotel ) but was excellent for sun on the balcony !

The room was extremely clean with an excellent bathroom (the missus now wants 2 sinks and a bidet at home) though some of the woodwork had been knocked about. I must say the beds were hard compared to mine at home and as a consequence i didn't sleep to well when beer free hence my scoring ...lol

The food was brilliant ,we loved the choice and variety (we nearly always chose different) and the chef cooking eggs and pancakes in the morning, burgers, chicken and sausages in the afternoon with a joint of some sort being carved in the evening a great touch , I thanked the evening chef with a muchos gracias and was rewarded with a smile and extra meat every night there after !!

Little tip , if the BUFFET food is not piping hot , use the MICROWAVE that's provided !!

The pool area had plenty of sunbeds which was not covered in towels (not aware of any ruling about time of towel laying ) with the sea water pool itself immaculate and not that cold after the initial shock ! There is a separate sunbathing area if you don't want to be surrounded by kids and music from the speakers. The entertainment team advertise over a tannoy (in about 5 languages) all upcoming sporting activities through out the day that you can join in with if you feel like it ,aqua gym, badmington ,boules, air rifle shooting and yoga being a few .

The entertainment was not aimed for the English (predominantly French) so if that's a major part of your holiday then beware !! We ventured off site most nights anyway (no cider at the hotel,England match and site seeing) and only caught bits of the flamenco, parrot, magic and rep welcome show anyway so wasn't bothered by this . A trip to San Blass for English entertainment is recommended (walk or taxi ride) if that's your thing or using their free coach trip to Los Cristianos or Playas de Americas every day apart from Saturday.

We noticed that Saturday and Sunday was very busy so assumed that locals use the services but still was plenty of space a poolside and in restaurant with more than adequate bar staff.Be aware that they operate a strict 1 drink,1 card policy but i just went back 5 minutes later and collected more drinks when necessary so not really a problem .

I would recommend this hotel all day long with their staff exceptionally friendly and would have no problem going again and think some past reviewers have been extremely critical of a hotel that tries to cater for ALL holiday makers no matter where they are from !

Room Tip: sea view room cuts out the rare noise off incoming planes and captures the sun nearly all day on the...

At the Aquamarina Golf Hotel you will get a peaceful quiet holiday. There are plenty of sunbeds and towels are not allowed to be put on sunbeds early morning which is a bonus. Food is good and varied buffet style. If you like to go out and about there is a shuttle bus three times a day to Los Chritianos, Las Americas and Costa Adeje.

Arrived 12pm on Saturday 28th September. Able to check in when arrived which was nice. Asked for room upgrade for sea view but no availability even though the hotel didn't seem busy.

All inclusive isn't the best, you have to carry a card around with you, and there is no self service and most times just one member of staff on the bar serving a few people.

I get the impression its more a full board hotel which has added the all inclusive element as an after thought.

Food for Breakfast and Tea was decent, with some rotation of meals and some themed meals (Eg Chinese and Mexican) but lunch was the same, with little choice.

Staff were friendly enough, and always served with a smile.

Room looked like it was straight out of the 70's. With a TV you would have had in the 90's a lot of terrible wooden furniture. Bathroom was decent enough very big. The Fridge all though didn't match the room was a nice free touch and ment you could keep any bought drinks chilled.

The view from our room overlooked the front of the hotel, it was a good view however was let down as it also overlooked a fountain which wasn't working.

Entertainment on the night was terrible, nothing at all happening, seemed to be aimed at the SAGA generation (the hotel even has a SAGA section) there aren't a lot of bars near by so its not like you have an abundant of choice in the area.

Room Tip: If your looking for local bars or shops your probably best avoiding this area/hotel

Arrived on Sunday 29th September for 6 nights. It was a lovely entrance to the hotel & a great area. Couldn't go to room till 2, so was able to use the buffet for lunch. Wasn't told that we need a pink slip for drinks but was still given some. The food wasn't too bad, it was edible and warm.
The "all inclusive" word is different here. Its full board with a few drinks options on the menu.
No pool bar open from September so you had to get dressed and go in to faro bar to get a drink. You can't get any water bottles until 9am till 11am and then 9pm till 11pm. no other times.
You have a card with your face on and they scan it when you get a drink. The pool is medium size, they have a kids pool and a Jacuzzi. You can't use till 10 and the life guard is there from 10am till6pm. There is loads of sun beds and plenty of places.
The beach Is black sand and loads of rocks, so I never went in. Plenty of places to go and walk. Loads of eating places and supermarkets. We did a walk to one of the mountains on the volcano and it was great views, worth doing.
Back to the hotel, the room is a different thing. There is a good size bathroom. Double sinks, toilet behind a tiled wall. Unfortunately the shower is in the bath and is a little slippery and there's no bath mat. The hand rail was loose. The bedroom has a separate door that helps with the hallway noise. We had twin beds, no duvet just a sheet. The curtains have a blackout as there is a light on the balcony so it will darken the room. The air con is just a switch which controls the fan. It was loose on the wall and you can see the wires. There is a couch and a fridge. Complained about the maintenance and nothing got done. Also there was a cockroach in the room which we wasn't too impressed about. The bar is just under are room and they had a entertainer on every night and you can here him. It was like being on blackpool beach !!!
There is a free shuttle to los christianos which is great. We went twice.
Had a good boat trip on travelling lady, the sea was very choppy. Saw dolphins and huge waves. Loads of places to eat and things to do.
All in all I had a great time, just be careful on the drinks !!!

My girlfriend and I stayed there for a week at the end of June 2013.

The hotel is located just a few miles away from the Tenerife South Airport and is situated just by the ocean. The views are simply beautiful and the town itself is very small and quiet.

Our room was very spacious and had a small terrace, we had a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. It was all, of course, very clean and looked modern. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the microscopic TV, I'm not a fan of watching TV on holiday, but I was simply expecting something bigger for a 4-star hotel.

The pool area was quite large and there was also plenty of space outside of the bar where you could have a drink and enjoy the great views.

The food was delicious, so I would recommend the all-inclusive option.

What's more, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Los Cristianos, a nearby town where you will find great sandy beaches. There are also many very cheap local buses (all with air-con) you can take that go across the whole island.

The hotel is also located very near Siam Park - an amazing water park (you can buy tickets at the reception or in the local shops).

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Aguamarina and had a brilliant time in Tenerife.

Not too expensive but a good quality family hotel with good specification rooms and a good pool .We went on an all inclusive deal and found the food to be varied, plentiful and pretty good really. The staff were all very friendly and there are plenty of hotel based activities for the children. Small tip- dont order the local wine with the all inclusive as it was rancid! This was the only minor gripe. Plenty of local trips, restaurants and a few bars .Another bonus is the ten minute trip to the airport.
