Had Christmas lunch menu here with family at 14.00hrs 15/12/2013. Location is down a country lane, plenty of parking and overflow parking available.Old buidling really quaint, very welcoming and comfortable. The staff all seem to be quite young but very capable and professional.
Orders for drinks, were served promptly as was our food orders taken, and the menu was very traditionally english, with a choice that suited everyone. We were taken to a lovely table and starters served, the mushrooms were my choice, so creamy with garlic plentiful and hot. The chicken goujons were equally delicious and my husband and mother had melon with strawberries and both enjoyed thoroughly. May i add that there was rustic warm bread rolls and plenty of butter.
Mains in our party consisted of beef and turkey dinners, all severd so hot and.
plentiful, with mash, roast, cauliflower cheese, beans sprouts and peas....................100% excellent.
Next up sweets, ...Sticky toffee pud, 110%! ,lemon cheesecake 110% and coffee renoir 110%
All in all a fantastic dining experience.
Would most deffo recommend.
2 draw backs....Difficult entrance for person with very limited mobility, and children that were with a large party that were allowed to behave without manners and very loud adults.
