I have to admit that as my parents have dined at this restaurant many times I was totally disappointed. There is a large selection of specials and quite an extensive menu, and was impressed with the veggie options. We had a drink in the bar and ordered our food. When shown to our table we had finished our drinks, however we were not offered any more drinks whilst waiting for our meal , so had to ask the waitress for the wine menu. When these were finished we had to ask again.
The garlic mushrooms that had been recommended to me, were lovely, however my main meal of vegtable cassorole was pure grease. It was a few vegtables covered in melted cheese, the vegtables that accompnay the meal was jacket potato with cheese and leeks, cauliflower cheese and carrots. I am sure you will agree that it was pure cheese overload. Not one waitress asked about the fact I was not eating my meal (she took a drink order at the time) and it was not until they removed the plates that they noticed the plate of left food covered in grease. They did remove the cost of the dish, which at £11.95 was over-priced !
The rest of party enjoyed their food and had chicken kiev and steaks, (dispite the steaks being mixed up). Overall I was expecting more and think I will let my parents go on there own next time.
