“Good location for the Old Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Lovely waterfront hotel, short taxi ride away from the Old Town. Old exterior but warm welcome and modern interior with very helpful staff team. Room was a good size, nice bathrooms and all very clean and well presented.

Good breakfast included in room rate.

Hotel is around 200 SEK taxi ride from Old Town which is well worth a visit with lots of good bars and cafés.

A tip - if arriving at Arlanda airport book a cab with Airport Cabs over the internet. Cost to Marina a Towers 450 to 500 SeK. They were waiting outside arrivals with name board as promised and arrived exactly on time for the return pick up. Very efficient, seem reliable and the quickest way to get direct to your hotel.

I picked this hotel without knowing how far away it was from the city centre, partly because it was a pretty last minute decision to stopover in Stockholm and we wanted to save on the hotel (to spend on the food).

The place is about a 30 minute drive from the airport at night (fixed taxi rate of 595 SEK, ~90USD), 45 minutes by day. We didn't manage to try going by bus/train because we had a lot of baggage -though I'm sure the excellent Swedish public transport system could've accommodated it. Bus 53 gets you to the Slussen station, where you can then catch the underground over to the city centre (just 1-2 stops).

The hotel itself is very minimalist, although of course there were the inevitable Christmas decorations that made everything seem really festive. Plenty of wood in the room too, so pretty cosy. Clean and spacious enough, with the necessary amenities (no coffee maker, but ironing board and fridge provided). Breakfast was included in the room rates, and consisted of the standard cold cuts and American (eggs, bacon etc.).

All in all a pleasant enough experience, though I wouldn't be staying here if I wanted to access the city centre regularly. Good for people who're planning to drive. They do have a boat that departs every hour and takes you across the water to the Stockholm side.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have views of the water, perhaps make sure of that when you're booking if you'...

I stayed one night at this Elite hotel just 3,5 Km from the central station. The hotel offers all possible luxury options such as gym, pool and spa. I haven*t tested it but if these offerings are just like the rest of the hotel is must be solid. I found the room spacious and clean just as expected. Break fast was a full continental with all you could imagine including spacious seating area.

I can definitely recommend this hotel. Their Price vs. Quality is the best I have experienced in Stockholm where many hotel are overpriced in my opinion.

Room Tip: Get a room with sea view.

I stayed here with my husband for two nights for a birthday trip away from London, UK. We knew it was not in the centre and we would have to get ferries back and forth, but this just added to the fun and meant you got to see more of Stockholm's coastline. Very quick anyhow - 10 mins away from centre. Hotel room was big, stylish and clean. Beds were most comfy thing have slept in for years. We had slippers and robe to get lift straight from bedroom to spa. Spa was on par with the Sanctuary in Covent Garden. Breakfast was superb, amazing choice of Swedish breakfast fare. All very high quality. We had to resist going up for thirds as knew we would not fit in lunch. Sitting in the bar area now waiting for a taxi to the airport, drinking a glass of Riesling whilst one of the barmaids is playing on a piano in between serving customers. Very cool! The bar smells lovely, the scent of fresh pine due to huge Xmas tree in middle of
foyer. If you're looking for a classy, quality and very reasonably priced getaway, we highly recommend this hotel. Have felt highly relaxed throughout!

This hotel as suggested before is far away from the city but if you follow the directions given you could be in the city centre in just over half hour. The views from the room are breathtaking. The reception staff are very helpful and the complimentary late Sunday evening checkout is a big positive. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous but one advice to the hotel would be to put one hot food item should be vegetarian. The rooms are large and comfortable and cleanliness of the hotel resembles the city of stockholm. If you don't mind a bit of healthy walking then this hotel is definitely a very good hotel and I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is a great hotel for a conference but it is a bit far from town and there is nothing around it. You have to take a bus or taxi or train or boat to get to Stockholm. There are no shops or little markets to walk to. However the hotel is excellent. Rooms are nice and big and have all the amenities. Comfortable bed and nice bath and shower. Restaurant is good but pricey with a limited selections of dishes. Staff excellent and attentive - great spa was really expensive.

Conference rooms were large and well equipped. I highly recommend this hotel if you don't mind being away from the city.

Room Tip: I payed a bit more for a room with a view of the Marina and I think it was well worth it. it is a l...

Come on! We couldn't seriously ask for more (at such a good price) in STockholm! Spectacular location on Stockholm' south shore seafront, very easy access to north shore via frequent «boatbus», superb restaurant, with a great carte, 100 and more different rhums bar, great comfy room, access to incredible spa (what a pool, sauna and hamman). Just like a great Barolo from 2006 or a fabulous Barbaresco of 2007 (try Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva), this hotel gets a score of 95 points!!! Two perfect nights; loved it to the bone! Fantastique hôtel: quel spa, notamment la piscine et le bain turc!!!, de belles chambres modernes fort confortables, un restaurant admirable et un site fabuleux sur les quais. Arrivederci e forza Elite Marina! Grazie... Expedia!

Room Tip: You don't necessarly need a room with a view, as we did, because windows are quite high of walls...
