We have just returned from an 8 day stay at Pallazo Bocci, having stayed there for 7 days back in 2008, (we are a retired couple over 65). This hotel is everything one could ask for. We splurge and have a senior suite right off the Reading Room but overlooking the main street. This can be noisy especially in a morning but actually adds to the feel of a "real" Italian village. Our suite was magnificent with original frescoed ceilings and very comfortably furnished. The staff (reception) are very helpful, acommodating and extremely kind. I was rather sick during our stay and they arranged an appointment for me with a local doctor. The village of Spello is charming and centrally located to many historical towns. We feel that a car is a necessity but there are many delightful walking paths to explore. We would definitely return to this hotel and to Spello.
