“Wonderful, beautiful, PERFECT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2010

We have just returned from an 8 day stay at Pallazo Bocci, having stayed there for 7 days back in 2008, (we are a retired couple over 65). This hotel is everything one could ask for. We splurge and have a senior suite right off the Reading Room but overlooking the main street. This can be noisy especially in a morning but actually adds to the feel of a "real" Italian village. Our suite was magnificent with original frescoed ceilings and very comfortably furnished. The staff (reception) are very helpful, acommodating and extremely kind. I was rather sick during our stay and they arranged an appointment for me with a local doctor. The village of Spello is charming and centrally located to many historical towns. We feel that a car is a necessity but there are many delightful walking paths to explore. We would definitely return to this hotel and to Spello.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2009

We recently had a 2 nite stay. Missed the hotel driving in but once you find it the location is great and Spello is a wonderful little medieval town close to Assissi and easy to use as a base. Parking is complimentary and just across the street. The rooms were a bit dated but quiet and comfortable. A nice breaklfast was included. Would probably stay again although we usually prefer B&Bs.

We stayed for 1 night. The hotel is centrally located. The people on reception were very welcoming and spoke excellent English and the room was fine with no problems.

Breakfast was good and we would definitely stay here again

This hotel is perfect! In every way! I'm sure they must screen the staff members carefully so they are sure they have the best! They were outstanding! The hotel itself is beautiful and we loved the fresco covered walls in the reading rooms. Our room was very spacious and even though we were only on the second floor we had a lovely view from our windows. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was so tastefully decorated and had the Umbrian feel to it. Congratulations to the owners/managers/staff who have made the Hotel Palazzo Bocci worthy of the spectacular area surrounding it.

We enjoyed our stay in Palazzo Bocci. Breakfast was served in the courtyard. Good sized room, and reasonable rates. Easy to drive to with free parking.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff.
Wide choice of excellent restaurants within easy walk of the hotel.

Our room had a nice large shower and a view from one of the windows overlooking the valley. Free WIFI is available on the ground floor. There was also unlmited internet usage for 2E/day on the one guest computer.

Our favorite restauarnt in Spello was Il Cacciatore. The restaurant had a huge balcony overlooking the valley and we enjoyed the temperate climate as dusk surrounded us. It was a downhill 5-10 minute walk back to the hotel.
