“Excellent value and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2010

We stayed here for 2 nights (we being myself, partner and mum in law) at the end of June. Rooms were very good, service was really excellent , all staff are clearly well trained in good customer care. I was worried the rooms may be noisy but they were quiet. Value was excellent (there always seem to be various offers on). Good value pub and restaurant attached. Overall, we were all very pleased and will likely stay here again.

After a very long day of travelling and being booked previously into a 0 star hotel (the elstree inn- do not stay there) it was lovely to finally be welcomed by the incredible staff at the innkeepers lodge.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Decorated in a classic style. incredible samsung TV in the room, with lots of channels. room service avaliable.
Toby carvery restaurant downstairs, which contrary to other reviews, we didnt hear any noise from our room which was almost right above the restaurant. bar prices were not too pricy.
Continental breakfast in the morning was lovely. plenty of branded breakfast cereals. toast croissants and fruits.

overall it was a very pleasant stay!

From start to finish this hotel deserves credit. Staff were excellent, amenities were top class, and room was of a very high standard.
Excellent value for money.
We are arranging a trip for 40 people to this hotel next year.

The hotel is well placed, about 10 minutes from Junction 23 of the M25 and within 1 or 2 minutes of the A1. It is basic but at £45 a room including breakfast it was more than adequate.

The room was clean, the furnature/decor a little old fashioned but looked like it had recently had a coat of paint. The room was a good size, with all the amenities you would expect; hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, extra pillows and towels, Wifi.

For breakfast there was a good selection of yogurts, cereal, toast, etc, although there were no clean tables, we had to move someone elses used plates.

Generally it was very good for what it was!

Paid the full rate, the room was freezing and the heater in the room hardly worked I noticed the rads in the hallways were not on either, I hardly slept as I was so cold, wrote to their head office
and they tried to bamboozle me. I wouldnt choose this hotel again.

Stayed for a week in April whilst on business, Location great, rooms as expected in a chain of hotels. Staff unfriendly and couldn't care less. Food distinctly bland, Wifi expensive and problematic. If your out working all day and want dull food and a few beers when you get back, then it represnts good value. If you want something else then go somewhere else.
