In the 60s and 70s, this was one of the great hotels in South Wales, where international rugby sides stayed. We held our wedding reception there in the mid 70s. It is in a marvellous position and with a lot of money spent on it could be great again, but it is truly sad to see it in its present shocking state.
We thought we'd give it a try on a trip back home to see family. It was a mistake. There's nothing to recommend it now except its position and superb views.
