“Great place to stay in Porthcawl”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Thanks to Derek and Elaine for the warm welcome and lovely one night stay whilst walking The Wales Coast Path with my Daughter. The rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast fabulous and the location to the path could not be better. Would definitely like to return for a weekend stay as the town looks like a fun and lively place.

My boyfriend and I booked for two nights here but decided to stay a third once we were there!! We would have stayed a fourth if the room had of been available.
Fantastic location for the summer, right near the beach.
Derek and Elaine were fantastic!! Very pleasant and helpful with absolutely everything! We couldn't recommend this place more!
The town is the perfect distance between both Cardiff and Swansea. But if you just want to lay by the beach, walk 2 minutes down the road and you're there!!
I'm definitely keeping these contact details for next time!

Really warm welcome from Derek and Elaine, our room was really clean and comfortable, the breakfast was second to none and nothing was too much trouble, even supplying aftersun cream for the wifes sunburnt ankles and feet. When we are next down Porthcawl way we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended and fantastic value.

Outstanding property, fresh, light, clean and beautifully appointed. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and appreciated the friendly, helpful hosts advice on places to visit in Cornwall. There is off road parking and only a short walk to restaurants. Highly recommended, great value.

A lovely clean, modern guest house, comfortable room, good breakfast and the hosts were so friendly. It is close to the beach front and not far off the motorway. I enjoyed my stay there so much that I will be back.

Another guest house which was full recommended Protea Guest House and we weren't disappointed. A tastefully decorated pleasant house with everything in our cosy home from home room that we needed including a hair dryer and towels but most importantly a tea tray! Only about 30 metres from the sea front and even less to The Royal Pavillion if you like the soul nights there! Very pleasant owners. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing negative to say about this guest house. A warm welcome; clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast that set us up nicely for the day. Parking is on the road but plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again.
