A group of us stayed at Villa Pomme D'Amour for 2 weeks in June in one of the two bedroom apartments. All the apartments are clean and well furnished in a caribbean style with everything you could need or want for a comfortable stay.

The view from the balcony down to a secluded cove just around the corner from Marigot Bay is beautiful and we didn't tire of looking at it every day. There is also a shared swimming pool and sunloungers to use whenever you like and Josee and Pierre also were kind enough to let us use their computer and washing machine.

The villa is located within easy walking distance of Marigot Bay with its lovely shops and restaurants, however we also enjoyed taking the 2-man kayak out from the cove below the villa round into Marigot Bay or in the other direction to surrounding coves. Having visited most of the island we felt Marigot Bay had the right balance of local caribbean life and tourist facilities.

On several evenings we cooked fresh food from the market on the BBQ provided - we would definitely recommend trying this with freshly caught mahi mahi!

Our hosts Josee and Pierre could not have been more helpful and did everything from helping to organise trips to showing us around the area and introducing us to local people in the bay over dinner! From the moment we arrived we loved the villa and Marigot but we loved getting to know Josee and Pierre even more. Next time we visit St Lucia (which will hopefully be very soon!) we would not think twice about staying at Villa Pomme D'Amour with Josee and Pierre!

Exceptional! We have visited a variety of Caribbean islands over the last 15 years, including St. Lucia, but our stay at the Villa Pomme D'Amour is our favorite experience by far.

We require privacy and seclusion during our vacations; Villa Pomme D'Amour provided this and more. The proprietors, Pierre and Josee made sure our visit was just as we wanted. They were more than accomodating, yet they respected our privacy at the same time. And we can't neglect to mention Nakai and Doodoo, their welcoming laidback dogs; all made our trip extra special.

The villa is located on a hillside with just a short walk down a path to a wonderful cove where we experienced good snorkeling every day. The view of the ocean from the balcony is magnificient. The villa offers a small, but well-appointed kitchen where we cooked most meals after experiencing a morning at the open air market. Josee goes the extra mile to help you plan your activities on the island and even takes you down south on their Zodiac to experience the Pitons from the ocean perspective. We will return to Villa Pomme D'Amour over and over!

I think of this awesome vacation everyday! Josee and Pierre were wonderful hosts and couldn't be more accomodating. They also gave us space to do our own thing. The other people staying were also great and fun to get to know. We were 2 couples escaping 100"of snow in Maine and it was just what we needed. Picked up at the airport, stopped on side of road for a bite and drink, and to the villa for amazing punch and bruscetta. The site is convienent and you can walk to great snorleling, or just lounge by the pool. We had a car but you can get aroud a lot by road or water taxi. The locals were great and there was much to see on the island. A great escape!

This truly is a tremendous property for your holiday/vacation. As mentioned in every review, Josee and Pierre are simply the best. While I'm sure there are other hosts and properties in the area that would meet your needs, I can't imagine how any of them could be any better the Villa Pomme D'Amour.

Being centrally located, Marigot Bay is the ideal location to stay when in St. Lucia. You will have all the amenities you require without being overwhelmed by tourist development. You will also be able to efficiently organize your trips by doing south excursions and north excursions separate days and minimize your travel/car time. Once you've selected Marigot Bay you will have a few options, and as I previously mentioned you should select Villa Pomme D'Amour. The location, set on the backside of the south ridge of Marigot Bay on a very secluded cove, is perfect. You will quickly gain an appreciation for St. Lucia's mountainous terrain while enjoying extraordinary views of the secluded bay and endless views of the ocean. We stayed on the top level of the villa which only enhanced the privacy and views. However, no matter which of the three villas you stay in you will enjoy the same ambience. I will summarize our favorite things about the villa. With that said, I once again urge you to make your reservation with Josee and Pierre right now.

1. Location of the villa made it extremely easy to access Marigot Bay. We had a rental car but chose to walk to the bay vs. driving. Very safe, very relaxing walk. The setting of the villa is truly one of its main assets. We also enjoyed the nature path from the villa to the secluded bay, about a 2 minute walk. And, as I mentioned above, the location of Marigot Bay makes it THE place to stay on the island.

2. Josee and Pierre are very warm and welcoming people. Prior to the trip my wife and I were somewhat apprehensive about staying at a property so close to owners who lived there. After the first day we felt pretty silly about the initial apprehension. Both are great conversationalists and interesting people who you will enjoy getting to know. And, if you prefer to be more private Josee and Pierre know the right times to be there or not be there. Josee's help with arranging your excursions is a VERY VALUABLE resource. They will connect you with professional, friendly businesses and people. It is stated in every other review here, but enough cannot be said about these two people and their ability to enhance your experience while visiting St. Lucia.

3. Arrangement of the villa, from simple things like the dishes to the pool to more complex things the like the design and colors to the architectural design, is very well thought out. I spent a few hours relaxing in the pool thinking of things I would change in the villa to make it better and I never came up with anything significant. Josee and Pierre are professionals who thought through granular details that make your stay very comfortable.

4. The open air design and living style of the villa will have you thinking of how to incorporate the designs in your own home. The main adjustment we had to make was simply using bug spray on/around the insect net before going to bed. Even without the insect spray the bugs were not unbearable, but with the bug spray you will eliminate any annoyance.
