“Fantastic Place to Eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Fine Dining with live Jazz background music, fabulous!

We did not have far to walk as we were staying at the Mango Beach Inn just behind the restaurant.

Open Wednesdays through to Saturday and highly regarded, it was a ‘must try’ during our 4 night stay.

The food was outstanding, the staff were attentive without being intrusive, our waitress new the dishes and was able to explain them to us.

We had a great table on the corner overlooking the bay.

Price wise, this is top end dining, so the whole experience needed to live up to expectations which it did.

Marigot Bay has some lovely restaurants but the Rainforest Hideaway quite rightly stands at the top of the pyramid.

Dear Lisa_n_Grant

Thanks for taking the trouble to write a review of Rainforest - and sharing your experience.

Thanks also for highlighting our Summer/Low Season opening programme - open Wednesday through Saturday and closed Sunday through Tuesday until November. We want to avoid people turning up on nights we are closed...not a good experience..!

We still have live jazz with Emerson & the Empress on Wednesdays and Saturdays - when it is best to book - even in the Low Season.

.......and I understand we are seeing you again this week after your island-hopping adventures. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

“Most romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Most likely the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean. In order you reach the hotel you have to take this nice quaint ferry which is very romantic.

Dear Irvine S

You hit on our number one USP - the romantic setting - chosen by so many of our diners for their special occasions, anniversaries, birthdays and weddings. We try hard to back it up with excellent food and service - to give the complete experience we call Marigot Magic...

Thanks for dining at Rainforest..!

“Great food, and a lovely night out in Saint Lucia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Just a 2 minute free ferry ride in Marigot Bay takes you to RFH. The location on the water is tough to beat, and things only continue to be great from there. The menu is diverse in options, and you can choose a 2- or 3-course prix fixe meal (we took the latter as they had some tasty desserts!). The quality of the food was excellent and we enjoyed everything we had. The presentation of all dishes was also quite lovely. The cocktails were also very tasty! Just a bit pricier than I'd like but comparing the quality to the other area options & location, it's not at all out of line. The staff were all excellent and accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you stay in Marigot Bay you have absolutely no excuse - you should have at least one dinner here! You won't be let down.

Dear w1ntermute

Thanks for dining at Rainforest and taking the trouble to write such a positive review. The staff see all the TripAdvisor reviews and will be very motivated by your kind comments. Yes - the deserts are fabulous - particularly the rich chocolate tart - made with local St Lucian chocolate - and the rum sauteed bananas.

We are not the cheapest restaurant in the Bay - but it costs a great deal here to deliver a product to the standard we try to achieve -- food, service and ambiance. So glad you felt it was well worth it

“Fabulous food, romantic setting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

We recently honeymooned in St Lucia and decided that one night we would take a break from our all inclusive resort and find a restaurant to dine in, we found the Rainforest Hideaway and decided it would be perfect. We took the restaurant boat across the bay and received a very warm welcome from the staff. We enjoyed cocktails on the dock. There were seats in the restaurant that we could have sat at straight away but the manager informed us that if we wanted to wait for a while we could have a table at the front of the restaurant right on the edge of the water. We waited and were so glad we did, although there were other guest in the restaurant we felt as though we were on our own as we were looking right across the dock. The food was delicious and very quick and the service was excellent. It was a magical evening that we will never forget, a must for anyone visiting St Lucia!!!

Dear Lozcar

Thanks for choosing Rainforest for your one night escape from your "all-inclusive" resort - and so glad you found our Marigot Magic...Rainforest has many times been called the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean - but to create a memorable experience the food and service have to be impressive too. Glad you ventured out - maybe next time you will go EP and try several local restaurants....

“spectacular experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

We traveled the hour from Sugar Beach one night during our honeymoon to visit Rainforest Hideaway. It was worth it! When you arrive, you are taken by water taxi to the restaurant. We were instantly greeted and taken to a seat at the edge of the restaurant right on the water. The food and wine was amazing! The overall experience was amazing! No trip to the island is complete without the trip out to Marigot Bay for a meal at Rainforest Hideaway.

Dear Kellymae09

Many thanks for your lovely and enthusiastic review of Rainforest and the pictures - which capture the night time ambiance. You chose my two favourite deserts - the rich velvet chocolate tart and the white chocolate crème brulee with raspberry and lime compote - spectacular - as you say.

If you come to St Lucia again and stay in Soufriere - try coming up by boat - rather than the one hour drive. A boat is much quicker and quite the most amazing way to arrive in Marigot Bay - and it can deliver you right onto the restaurant dock....your experience will then be doubly spectacular..!
