Nature's Paradise is indeed just that. We have travelled fairly extensively and I have to say that their website is one of the most accurate that I have ever seen when it comes to describing the facilities, "it does exactly what it says on the tin". What is also nice is that Dave and Wanda actively seek feedback from their guests on ways that they could improve the experience. To be honest we couldn't think of a thing that they need to change.
It's been said before but I'll say it again, the views are stunning, the breakfasts superb and Dave and Wanda are so warm and welcoming they make it feel like you are staying with good friends.
If you are the kind of Tourist who has so far only experienced the "All inclusive" Carribean holiday; get out of the compound, be brave become a "Traveller" and take a chance on Paradise. With Dave and Wandas help you will meet so many interesting people and experience the real island not just the Tourist Traps. Dave knows everything worth knowing about the island and is always ready to offer advice or suggestions for activities and restaurants etc.
We stayed in Avocado Cottage it was wonderful to open the curtains in the morning see the view and realise that we weren't dreaming. The cottage was very well equipped, it even had a blender so we could make rum flavoured fresh fruit smoothies.
If you don't fancy cooking for yourselves then the bars and restaurants of Marigot Bay are just a short trip down the hill. We can recommend Chateau Mygo for lunch and dinner and for a special occasion book a table at the Rainforest Hideaway. The menu and service there are excellent .
The seclusion is a definite bonus, how many other places can you go for a late night swim and then lay by the pool with a drink in your hand just watching the stars and listening to the sounds of the night without being disturbed? During the day you aren't fighting for a sun lounger either, as there are probably only two or three other people around at most. An added bonus are the beautiful gardens surrounding the pool and property. Wandas' enthusiasm for her garden is infectious, it's obvious that she has planted it with great care to enhance the feeling of a Tropical Paradise.
Other musts are Daves' Eco tour where you can experience everything from what a boa constrictor feels like, to the taste of really fresh coconut milk, visit a "drive in" volcano and have lunch with a great view of the Pitons. Take a trip to Anse La Raye, (about a 20 minute drive away) for Fish Friday. Fresh seafood is barbecued along the seafront and you can join the throng of locals and discerning holidaymakers enjoying a truely great party atmosphere 'til the small hours.
We could go on for ages but I think by now you wil have the gist of it, we would recommend Natures Paradise to anyone and will hopefully be going back ourselves one day.
