“A week in Paradise, a view and villa that was hard to leave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

My husband and I just returned from spending a perfect week at Marigot Palms in Marigot Bay. We stayed upstairs in the Sandringham Villa, with the large balcony, bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen . The whole experience was just awesome! This villa is wonderfully located to both the north and south of the island and the beautiful Marigot Bay. We travelled ALL over the island and this was the most quaint and scenic bay we saw throughout our travels. The view is exceptional, we spent most breakfasts and sunsets watching the sailboats, yachts and all other traffic come and go from the harbor. The villa has EVERYTHING you need to cook a meal and enjoy the local flavors. We hit the grocery on the way to Marigot Palms, and enjoyed fresh grapefruit, limes, bananas and flowers from the gardens at the villa.

Some of our excursions included the Health and Beauty Day spa in Castries, Waterfalls, Anse la Raye Fish Fry, Soufferie and Dasheene at Laderra for sunsets, Anse Chastenet, Anse Liberte, Anse Jalousie, the private beach just to the left of our villa twice, Pigeon Island and beaches, and Castries Saturday Market, drive through volcano and Diamond Falls and Gardens. The best day was spent on an ALL day private Catamaran that we shared with our new English friends from the villa downstairs. Cyrus, the property manager was very instrumental in arranging this while we were on the island. I had researched prior to our arrival and was not interested in the group trips that we observed come and go from the bay (with pounding music and loudspeakers) and forty other of your closest friends, and the whole Catamaran to ourselves seemed too pricey. Sharing an all day Cat right from Marigot Bay on Valentines Day, we were able to view the Pitons, hit two amazing snorkeling spots, private beaches, island villages, sunset and feel very VIP! Cyrus is a true gentleman, and was very helpful with information and even a BBQ that he had prepared for us on site to enjoy. What a awesome man he is!! We loved the villa dog Ben who was adopted and watched over us during our stay. We felt secure knowing he only barked when someone came upon the property, and it made us feel very protected.

Let me say, we have done many VRBO listings in the US, Mexico and the Caribbean over the years. This was the best we have stayed at! We are already planning a return trip next year with friends and renting the whole villa to enjoy.

Room Tip: All the rooms are spacious, clean, modern and well equipped. We loved the upper villa for the space...

We've just returned from our week in St Lucia. What an awesome place to visit. So green and lush and the best weather.

Our stay at the Marigot Palms was everything we had hoped for. The view, first and foremost, is stunning. No picture can do it justice.

We stayed in the Windsor which is on the top floor, far right as you're facing the bay. We were very satisfied with it. The apartment was very clean with modern furniture and appliances, all in good condition. The linens were soft and white, the water hot, the air conditioners mercifully quiet. There were banana, lime, sour orange and, I think, grapefruit trees on the property. We picked the limes for our Piton beer!

From our suite deck and pool deck, we watched the constant activity in the bay with sailboats from all over the world coming and going. Some small, some huge. The bay was very quiet though without the noisy buzz of the jet skis and large motor boats that we've experienced in so many spots in the islands.

The walk down to the marina/shops/grocery store/bank/restaurants took about 8 minutes. We walked along the marina several times seeing different boats every day.

The icing on the cake for us was getting to know Cyrus, the property manager. He treated us very well, answering our many questions, taking us to different spots on the island, advising us on when and where to go. What ever it was that we wanted, he made it happen. Our last night there, he brought in a wonderful lobster dinner for ourselves and another couple staying at the Marigot Palms. It was served poolside overlooking the bay. An incredible meal and great company.

Everything about our stay at this property was a positive, pleasant experience. I wouldn't hesitate in suggesting it to anyone.

FYI - If bringing any electrics, you will need a converter. There is one converter in the suite. If you need more, you should bring your own.

Spent an awesome, relaxing week in Marigot Palms and highly recommend it to others. The grounds are well maintained and in a great, quiet location. Stayed in the Windsor suite which was clean, spacious, private, with an awesome view of Marigot Bay. We enjoyed watching the boats come and go. Cyrus, the manager, was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and available as a helpful guide. We engaged him to bring us to see Castries, Rodney Bay, Soufrieres (volcano, Pitons, botanical gardens, Diamond Falls) and snorkeling at Sugar beach and Ti Kaye. He picked good locations and timed visits according to weather conditions and to avoid busy, large crowds. It was our first time at a private place and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of not being stuck in an "all-inclusive resort bubble". We got to meet more local people, try more local food (fresh coconut, daal, roti, fresh fish, cassava bread), and cook some meals in our suite. In terms of location, amenities and photos, the website description and other reviews are accurate. Like most of island which has many hills, the place is located above the bay so there's a short walk on an incline to the shops, restaurants and beach below. We hope to visit Marigot Palms again!

Having stayed in many apartments around the world this was up there in our top 10. The description and photos were very accurate. Cyrus was a true gent and very helpful with information and places to visit. We hired a car after the first week to explore the island, all places we visited were beautiful and I would definitely recommend a car if you don't want to use the tours that Cyrus organises. The views from the apartment were amazing, having breakfast watching the super yachts arrive and in the evening listening to the sounds of the wildlife were a great memory. Ben the dog became our companion never far from our sight day or night !!! The restaurants all served great food and happy hour cocktails made the walk back up the hill seem easy !!! Alicia the housekeeper and Bengi the gardener do a great job keeping the apartment and grounds lovely, Cyrus is always on hand either in person or on the phone that they lend you. I would definitely recommend this place.

We were looking for a relaxing break with sunshine & nearby amenities without the hassle of the more built up resorts. Marigot Palms hits the spot. From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our return the manager, Cyrus, provided a friendly, attentive but also 'low key' manager/driver/tour guide. The furniture in the home was of a very high standard and the kitchen was fitted with all we needed and more. Could possibly have done with a bit more wardrobe space in the bedroom.
The view of the bay from the property is to die for, the marina is about 5 minutes walk downhill but about 15 coming back! - possibly not suitable for older or less agile guests, although Cyrus can arrange lifts & there are taxis for when he's not around.
There are 4 or 5 restaurants around the bay and the food was always of the highest standard and reasonably priced for the quality served.
Hard to pick any real faults, however:
1. The sunloungers are no longer as per the website/owners photos. They are now the standard hard plastic type with no cushions. Certainly not comfortable and not in character with the property.
2. Parasols are past their best and need to be replaced
3. Cyrus needs to be more punctual - waiting to be picked up by him was a bit stressful at times. But he does make up for this with his friendliness

Room Tip: First floor more private and better views

Our stay at the Marigot Palms was amazing!! The view from the pool on the bay is breathtaking, its near very good restaurants (chateau migot and hurricane hole) and there's also a supermarker near by. The tenant was very nice and helpful, giving us tips on where to go and where not to go, lending us a cellphone and had his cousin make us diner one night with all the guests ! There's only one important thing, if you plan on visiting the island (castries, soufriere, dennery, rodney bay) you need to rent a car!

We had a great time at the Marigot Palms. From the moment we got off the plane we we're greeted by Cyrus (manager) and driven to the apartments. During the week he made sure that we had a great stay with helpful advice on where to visit and if we needed drove us to places.

The apartments are in a stunning location overlooking the bay with only a short 5 minute walk down to the marina, restaurant and bars. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to such a lovely view. We had some great other guests staying at the apartments and they made the experience even better.

Really recommend staying here
