“Great sailing to the Grenadines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We booked and 8 day charter from St. Lucia to the Grenadines. Oasis Marigot made it easy to plan this trip on short notice. Our Captain, Stanley was excellent; a great sailor, very kind and attentive to every detail. He knows just where to go and who to see when you get there. First mate, DaWood also did a great job, really nice guy. The sail from St. Lucia to St. Vincent was so nice, magical when the engine went off and it was just the wind powering our boat. We spent the first night in Cumberland Bay. We were hungry and Emma and Erik opened their restaurant for us. Emma cooked a delicious feast of chicken and local favorites. Next day we visited Kingstown, the capitol of St. Vincent. Jimmy took us to Fort Charlotte & the Botanical Gardens, oldest in the eastern hemisphere. Our guide at the gardens (I think his name is Joshua) was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. He told us about all the different trees that come from places like Africa and Brazil. Jimmy then took us to the local market and successfully assisted us in our quest to find a Dora doll. Great guy! Next day we went to Bequia. A small, gorgeous island with kind people and great pizza, you'll find the place right on the Main St. We visited Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary where they rescue and raise hawksbill hatchlings, then release at 3 years old, greatly increasing their chances of survival. In the morning a local boater delivered fresh croissants and baguettes, still warm from the oven. Next stop, Tobago Cays, heaven on earth with white sand beaches, turquoise water and turtles everywhere. It’s the perfect place to just relax. After a few days we headed to Union Island. We met Lambi and many other really nice people. Jennifer cooked us a nice breakfast at her restaurant "Jennifer's". When I forgot my phone she called her friends down the street and told them to let me know. On the way back to St. Lucia we stopped in Cumberland Bay for another great meal at Emma and Erik’s. In the morning, Joseph took us to Black View waterfalls. Beautiful place and he was a great guide. Anyhow, this was a dream vacation. It was all so perfect because our Captain and 1st mate were spot on and both worked very hard. All the people Stanley introduced us to were helpful and genuine. The boat was in great shape, due to Stanley's diligence maintaining it. Sailing was great and we felt always felt safe. Two thumbs up.

From Oasis Marigot`s portfolio we chose the exclusive Emerald Hill Villa, on a cliff, at the end of road which the locals call "Millionaire's road". No exegeration at all ... I never had such an incredible holiday home, for such an affordable price. Huge open wall living room, your own pool in front of it right over the cliffs, facing west - so you enjoy sunset in your own pool - sipping whatever ... Very tastefool furnishing and decoration. Since you have a 90° degree terrasse, you do not only enjoy the western view over the Carribean Sea, but also a stunning view over Marigot Bay with its blue waters and white boats ... and a rainbow when there is an afternoon shower over the hills. Very friendly and professional service ... there is nothing they would not take care of. Marigot Bay offers excellent fine dining options, few steps from your home. I normally do not travel twice to the same place, but this one I will definitely visit again!

Room Tip: Emerald Hill Villa has two sleeping rooms, so you get the best value for two couples travelling toge...

We spent a portion of our honeymoon in the Caribbean Blue Suite. It has an awesome view of the Caribbean Sea and and a private pool. This place is ideal for couples who want to be alone. It was a kept clean everyday. The only drawback is the bugs that visited us if we cooked anything in the room.

The staff at Oasis Marigot are wonderful. They are very kind, accommodating, and helpful when setting up activities on the island, as well as providing information about St. Lucia. I recommend the all day sailing where you sail from Oasis Marigot to other parts of the island. Also, if you are a couple, definitely set up the sunset cruise.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in St. Lucia recently. Rather than staying in a resort, we chose to rent a villa (Piton Stargroves) from the wonderful people at Oasis Marigot. The villa was great, nestled on the side of Gros Piton with an amazing view of Petite Piton, the ocean, and some incredible sunsets. Along with the villa, Oasis Marigot arranged for our jeep rental and taxi service, and everything went very smoothly. The housekeeper and groundskeeper at the villa took very good care of us, while allowing us the privacy we wanted. Unlike the typical resort experience, we got to explore the island on our own terms, and met some very nice St. Lucians along the way.

If you are looking for a place away from it all, and not wanting to do the typical tourist thing, Oasis Margoit is the place for you. Quiet and tropical, was what we were looking for, and we received it. The help at the resort were above and beyond their duties. They were so gracious and ran a very clean place. The locals were real people and so nice and informative. We snorkeled and sailed with some wonderful locals. Their conversation with us, made us feel very welcomed. We were taken to The Jump Up by locals and they looked after all of our needs.
When they say Oasis Margoit is a paradise, it fulfills all of that. I only wish that we can make it back there someday, to fulfill that paradise dream again. Thank you for all of your love, graciousness, and devoted service. Pictures do not show the beauty of it all, you need to go there to see what I mean. I had a wish on my bucket list, now I can mark it off, Oasis Margoit made it all come true for myself and my family. Thank you to everyone there for there caring ways and giving us some of their Island Time. Thank you, Connie Partee and family

My wife and I recently stayed at the Emerald Hills Villa in Marigot Bay. Though absolutely stunning online, the pictures don't come close to comparing with the real thing. This villa was amazing, with panoramic views of the ocean and the bay and a wrap around deck along nearly half of the villa. The staff, Christina and Cornelius, were incredibly friendly and attentive. We even got to meet and receive a brief history lesson from the owner who has been a resident of St. Lucia now for more than 50 years.
The Villa is located at one of the highest points in Marigot Bay, making the view worth more than a 1000 words, and yet still, is just a 2 minute drive or short refreshing walk to all of the resorts, bars, restaurants, and other hidden gems that make-up Marigot Bay. You even have an option to have a private chef come to the home and cook for you and your friends, family, or significant other in the case that you'd rather spend the night in and enjoy the Villa and all that it has to offer. WIFI was not the best, but is included which is hard to find on the island. Besides, who wants to be "plugged-in" when you're trying to "disconnect".
Thank you all for making our memorable occassion extra special. We hope to return St. Lucia sometime in the future, and are sure to stay at your property again. Until then, we will be quick to tell everyone we run into about your beautiful location and all of the good people and fun local places to meet and attend while staying in Marigot Bay.

Thanks again from Austin Texas,

April and Jesse Keenan
