We booked and 8 day charter from St. Lucia to the Grenadines. Oasis Marigot made it easy to plan this trip on short notice. Our Captain, Stanley was excellent; a great sailor, very kind and attentive to every detail. He knows just where to go and who to see when you get there. First mate, DaWood also did a great job, really nice guy. The sail from St. Lucia to St. Vincent was so nice, magical when the engine went off and it was just the wind powering our boat. We spent the first night in Cumberland Bay. We were hungry and Emma and Erik opened their restaurant for us. Emma cooked a delicious feast of chicken and local favorites. Next day we visited Kingstown, the capitol of St. Vincent. Jimmy took us to Fort Charlotte & the Botanical Gardens, oldest in the eastern hemisphere. Our guide at the gardens (I think his name is Joshua) was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. He told us about all the different trees that come from places like Africa and Brazil. Jimmy then took us to the local market and successfully assisted us in our quest to find a Dora doll. Great guy! Next day we went to Bequia. A small, gorgeous island with kind people and great pizza, you'll find the place right on the Main St. We visited Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary where they rescue and raise hawksbill hatchlings, then release at 3 years old, greatly increasing their chances of survival. In the morning a local boater delivered fresh croissants and baguettes, still warm from the oven. Next stop, Tobago Cays, heaven on earth with white sand beaches, turquoise water and turtles everywhere. It’s the perfect place to just relax. After a few days we headed to Union Island. We met Lambi and many other really nice people. Jennifer cooked us a nice breakfast at her restaurant "Jennifer's". When I forgot my phone she called her friends down the street and told them to let me know. On the way back to St. Lucia we stopped in Cumberland Bay for another great meal at Emma and Erik’s. In the morning, Joseph took us to Black View waterfalls. Beautiful place and he was a great guide. Anyhow, this was a dream vacation. It was all so perfect because our Captain and 1st mate were spot on and both worked very hard. All the people Stanley introduced us to were helpful and genuine. The boat was in great shape, due to Stanley's diligence maintaining it. Sailing was great and we felt always felt safe. Two thumbs up.
