WOW! first of all St Lucia is so beautiful. The Beach House is georgeous. The minute I arrived here I felt so comfortable. We were greeted by our housekeeper Pearl. Her name fits her perfectly as she is quite a rare gem. She kept the house spotless but most of all We enjoyed our conversations with her. Pearl if you read this remember the invitation to visit the state of Maine is still open anytime. The property manager Uriel stopped by regularly to make sure everything was OK. He is a very nice man. I wouldn't bring children here as the stairs to the beach are quite steep. La Toc Beach is beautiful but as previously stated the surf is quite strong. Not to worry because the Pool is so beautiful and it overlooks the ocean. I wish I could have stayed in St Lucia at the Butterfly Beach House forever. Secluded but very close to Castries. I wouldn't advise driving the island as it is very narrow, curvy and steep. However, we had the most courteous, fun and wonderful cab driver you could ask for. Not only did he take us to all the wonderful sights and narrate where we were and the history, he also took us to the grocery store and waited for us. He was like family. He is called Big Runner and if you are thinking of staying in the castries Big Runner is a must. Unfortunately, I misplaced his card but when I come across it I will post his telephone number. Believe me get in touch with him and you will be in safe hands.

As for the island of St Lucia and Butterfly Beach house. From the moment I landed on the island I felt such a calm and the Butterfly Beach House only contributed to that calm. I will return and I will stay at the Butterfly Beach house again. Big shout out to Big Runner "Thank you big guy for all the happiness you helped us achieve" St Lucia best darn vacation ever!

We spent 8 days at the Butterfly Beach House which is one of the rental properties managed by Oasis Marigot. This villa is located in La Toc Beach, about a 15 min drive from Marigot Bay. To sum it up, our stay was truly amazing. Everyday since our return, I have looked at our pictures and felt a deep sense of longing to return to St. Lucia and the Butterfly Beach House. The location of the house is secluded yet very close to downtown Castries, where you can get just about everything you need from groceries at the market or supermarket to exchanging your money at the bank. When I walked into the house and looked across the living room to the balcony and the view I wanted to cry tears of joy. That view was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Every morning I would wake up, pinch myself and take pictures to try and capture it. It was truly amazing. The house is 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms - the master bedroom has 2 separate small bathrooms, each with toilet, sink and shower. The house is set up perfectly for 3 adult couples, allowing for plenty of privacy for each couple with a lovely common area. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The cell phone provided by the owner was a God send! We used it several times a day. We chose this property because of its proximity to the beach. La Toc beach is a short walk down the hill but it is a steep walk so be prepared for that. I found the beach to be lovely but the water was a little rough...there were definitely some big waves. I'm not a big pool person so I didn't expect to use the private pool at the house very much. Boy was I wrong! I was in that pool everyday! It was wonderful! I kept swimming to the bottom to get a closer look at the butterfly. All in all, I loved this property, I thought it was a good price and a great value and I would definitely stay here again and encourage everyone I know going to St. Lucia to stay here. The only semi-negative things I have to say is that the living room/kitchen can get hot during the day, especially while cooking, so I would plan to spend the afternoon hours in the pool, on the beach or taking a nap in the air conditioned bedroom. Also, previous visitors to the home fed the cats/kittens from next door so they would come over every evening and hang around looking for food. I am not a cat lover and one of our friends travelling with us is deathly afraid of cats so we were not happy about having them hanging around. Twice we had to run them out of the living room as they jumped in through an open window! This was annoying but not a deal breaker by any means. Finally the mattress was more firm than I like but that's certainly a personal preference and I still slept like a baby after being out in the sun all day. If you're considering a rental in St. Lucia, stay here!

My husband stayed in the Caribbean Blue Suite which is part of Oasis Marigot, but owned by a woman named Alice who works directly with resort. Let me tell you, that little suite/cottage is located in probably one of the most incredible spots on the island! The private plunge pool overlooking the Caribbean was just stunning. We saw some of the most amazing sunsets and rainbows! Alice is such a sweetheart and we loved our housekeeper too! In fact, everyone at Oasis Marigot was great! Marigot Bay is gorgeous and has been named one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean. If you're looking for a remote and romantic spot then this is it! It was one of three places we stayed on the island during our honeymoon and we will definitely be going back to the Caribbean Blue Suite!

We spent a week in one of the two-storey villas situated amid verdant gardens high on a hill with a superlative view of Marigot Bay from the large, covered upstairs balcony. A great place to watch the yachts come and go in the bay whilst forgetting about the travails of everyday life. You will be joined by the very tame St Lucia finches who are quick to spot any food left lying around whether on the balcony or inside.

The villas are large, comfortable and well furnished with an excellent kitchen for preparing snacks. There is plenty of hanging space for clothes. The aircon worked well but only cools the bedroom downstairs. In our villa the shower did little more than dribble out until we complained and a new shower head was installed and hey presto! There were a couple of other niggles but they were quickly put right. In that respect, we could not have wished for better or more helpful service - always with a smile.

There is a small, private pool shared between the villas which is secluded and offers sunbathing space. Another nice feature is the funicular running from the bottom of the hill to the top and which takes you through the beautiful gardens and other accommodation dotted on the hillside. Walking up the hill is tough especially in the heat and humidity.

A great place to stay especially in the low season when prices are reasonable.
